We have now written an open letter to the Bridget Phillipson regarding the misinformation that appeared in her article on the conversion practices bill this weekend.
This level of nonsense in public debates is getting ridiculous and it is time she and her officials sorted it.
1/ Weâve written to the Secretary of State for Equalities concerning misinformation that appeared in an article she wrote over the weekend. Itâs important that the debate around the draft conversion bill is accurate and the Minister should promote this.

A male nurse has been nominated for a WOMEN'S healthcare award.
Haven't we moved beyond this 'men make the best women' fawning garbage by now? How incredibly insulting. How appallingly unlawful.
No Sir, you aren't being 'embraced as a woman'.
Plus, where is the safeguarding scrutiny?
How can women patients give informed consent to intimate care from a nurse if they are told he is female? How are women staff protected if they are lied to about a colleague's biological sex?
These are fundamental questions of consent, dignity and safeguarding.
@SEENinHealth report @ESNEFT unlawful single-sex policies remain in place. Why are women still being failed? Why is this STILL allowed to happen?

Replying to @jan_murray
Do any trade unions exist that actually stand up for the rights of biological women, or is it only special types of men they are prepared to defend

Nursing is such a male dominated field there probably isn't many women to pick anyway.

J.K. Rowling has published a new essay today - and she has some particularly strong words for trade unions and their treatment of women.
She accuses union leaders of abandoning working-class women in favour of their own âluxury beliefsâ.
She also makes a powerful point about privilege: those championing trans ideology are often the people least likely to experience its consequences.
Think MPs such as Stella Creasy, senior BBC executives or NHS managers on six-figure salaries - compared with nurses sharing workplace changing rooms, rape survivors relying on support services or women in low-paid jobs.
Rowling also reveals that applications to her Womenâs Fund involving private companies have fallen markedly, while publicly funded institutions continue to resist the Supreme Court ruling.
A damning indictment of organisations that are supposed to defend workers - not work against them.

Female nurses are so lucky to have a man to show them how to be the best woman.

"And so Iâll continue to speak out, continue to use my money to help women who otherwise couldnât afford to go to court, and continue to ensure that women in my area can still access female-delivered, female-centred support after rape."
Thank you, @jk_rowling
I wrote a new piece about womenâs rights and whether or not I want trans people dead. (Spoiler: I donât)đ

Progressives think it's progressive to rule that men make better women than women do. If I was a woman, I'd be fuming at this shit.

No one is saying that Sally Rooney is a terrorist.
They are saying that she wants to give her profits to a proscribed terrorist group. They are saying that because that is what she says.
Palestine Action does not help the people of Palestine. Its members broke the back of a British police woman, have caused millions of pounds of damage to British arms and military facilities and targeted Jewish charities.
Rooney is no free speech advocate: she banned her own books being sold in Israel.
Rooney is an extremist who is making a lot of clever people look very stupid.
We have published an open letter against the removal of Sally Rooneyâs books from sale in Britain.Â
Between them, the signatories to the New Statesman open letter have won every major literary prize, from the Booker to the Pulitzer. They include Nobel laureates: Anne Carson, the most recent winner of the literature award; Annie Ernaux, and JM Coetzee. These are voices from all over the world, including pre-eminent novelists: Julian Barnes, Zadie Smith, Jeanette Winterson, George Saunders, Ben Lerner and many more. Key figures in the wider Rooneyverse are signed up: Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Alison Oliver, Fionn OâShea and Lenny Abrahamson. Among the award-winning actors, filmmakers, and screenwriters who have signed include: Tilda Swinton, Susan Sarandon, Jessie Buckley, Jonathan Glazer, Armando Iannucci and Sharon Horgan. In total, over 150 major figures have signed.
Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist.

The BBC says JK Rowling is a âpolarisingâ figure. Really? Her views on biological sex are backed by the vast majority of people and by scientific fact. The Beebâs trans activism has destroyed its credibility, says Malcolm Clark

Antisemitism in schools meant we had to change our daughter's school midway through year 5, then sell up and move areas to be able to send her to a Jewish secondary school - something we never envisaged as a secular family. It's a real issue and I'm glad it's being tackled.

The same should apply to pronouns in emails.
I apply this prohibition to myself. Itâs tempting to have a gender critical email signature, but I am able to see that doing this risks alienating the recipient. If they are a student, thatâs out of order. 1/2 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10âŚ

Male nurse nominated for womenâs healthcare awards.
Guess who is behind the awards? The @NursingTimes - which appears to have long forgotten what a woman is.
So much so, when this man was nominated for an award under his male birth name name - Jaypee - his nomination was reported using female pronouns đ¤Ą

Unfortunately, ANY man pretending to be a woman is deeply insulting to actual women. A man without the monthly discomfort of periods & 9m of each pregnancy & without the risks of pregnancies & the labour of childbirths is not a woman. It's a man wanting dresses without the risk.

This same sex couple are appealing for free money to pay a woman for her baby.
