Instead of her trip to LBC studios maybe she could’ve volunteered at a food bank?

Hope Cook’s learned his Mandeville lesson now. Best end product in the squad by a mile. Lad can play any position and always produces

For those mocking the PM for going on Gogglebox:
It's for Stand Up to Cancer.
For those mocking his tattoo:
It's the Manchester Bee, done after the Manchester Arena Attack, where 22 died and 100's more were injured.

If Manchester United get rid of Michael Carrick they get rid of the individual who cares most about the Club. Carrick cares for United far more than the Glazers do (obviously), more than Ratcliffe, Wilcox & Berrarda do, more than Bruno Fernandes & the underachieving players #MUFC

Not excusing the subs, which he got wrong but I don't watch the team and feel concerned. Especially that first half. Plenty of the season left coyb

Some really pathetic comments. We should've been home & dry before halftime. The missed chances are frustrating every game but to say Cooky has got to go because we're not winning when his tactics AND his players are creating chances is just fuckin stupid!!

There are too many entertaining Pat Karney stories to list here but aside from the very obvious fun side of him, Pat was a very smart politician, a passionate supporter of Manchester and a joy to deal with as a journalist. He’ll be missed.

I’m deeply saddened to hear that Pat Karney has died.
Pat gave nearly 50 years of his life to serving Manchester. He saw the city through some of its toughest times and played his part in the growth and transformation that followed.
I knew Pat for many years. He loved Manchester deeply and was a tireless champion for the people he represented.
I’ll miss him greatly. My thoughts are with his family and everyone who knew and loved him.

Absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Pat Karney. He was full of stories and jokes, and he was so supportive of local journalists and had a massive impact on the city’s LGBTQ+ movement over the years. There was quite frankly no one like him. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…

This is very sad news.
He will be missed and his passing is a real loss.
Pat was such a champion of our city, and always spoke up for all mancunians.
He understood the deep roots and history of our city, but was also a pioneer for the growth of Manchester and our future too.💔

So incredibly sad about Cllr Pat Karney’s passing. Pat was an icon, a legend, a special politician over decades in Manchester. He was the face and the voice of our city during our happy times and our sad times. Known for his famous Christmas and Manchester celebrations, he was also a great campaigner and never forgot his roots in working class Manchester. He was a true friend to me and to a generation of others. Pat was a total one-off who will be greatly missed and very fondly remembered for years to come. RIP.
I also introduced him to Twitter as it was then - a platform he really enjoyed.
