Yes - Silhouette will support HIP-3* markets in our RFQ Perps Product.
If it wasn’t obvious to you already.
ggwp @Payward
Payward, the parent company of Kraken, announced its intention to be the first CFTC-regulated deployer on HIP-3* markets. Payward will use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer to deploy perpetual futures markets for US clients. Subject to regulatory approval, Bitnomial, Payward’s CFTC-regulated DCM and DCO, would act as the HIP-3* deployer: creating, owning, and administering the markets and clearing and settling the contracts. If approved, NinjaTrader Clearing, Payward’s CFTC-registered FCM, would carry client accounts.
HIP-3 will support optional deployer configuration for permissioned markets in a future network upgrade. This set of additional deployer functionality is collectively called HIP-3*. At its core, HIP-3* activation involves an onchain allowlist managed by the deployer or its sub-deployers. The functionality is strictly additive to HIP-3; its use is optional and up to the deployer. Existing markets remain unchanged. The initial release is available on testnet, where specifications are preliminary and subject to change based on feedback.
Hyperliquid is a neutral infrastructure layer with the goal of supporting large parts of the financial system. HIP-3* gives deployers additional functionality to operate deployments consistent with the requirements applicable to them. As with HIP-3, HIP-3* deployers are independent operators who use Hyperliquid as the onchain infrastructure layer for their own markets, while retaining control and responsibility over their deployment.

Solana got 150ms finality. Hyperliquid builders shipped better ways to move size, and tokenized stocks DeFi is growing faster than ever.
Here are some crypto apps worth trying this week:
@hypurrdash: Trading terminal for Hyperliquid with private TWAPs, swarm orders and a liquidation heatmap. VWAP orders went live this week, pacing a big fill around the asset's usual volume curve.
@silhouette_ex switched on perps RFQ this week. Market makers compete to quote you, and the fill prints on Hyperliquid's book without walking it. BTC and HYPE only, up to $100k per quote.
@2FactorFinance: About 1.33x $BTC on @base with no liquidation price, financed by a senior tranche that earns yield instead of perp funding. Built to hold for years. Capped beta.
@Trueo_ $TRUE: Permissionless prediction markets on @base where open positions earn yield in a Yearn USDC vault. @DefiLlama now shows Trueo markets on its dashboards, so you can bet on protocol revenue next to the data.
@CatalystMkts_: Perps on whether an event happens, on Base. Listing markets went live this week and buy whichever token an exchange lists the instant it's announced. Size small in trenches.
@paboxoxyz: Borrow $USDG against Robinhood Stock Tokens. Borrowing and liquidations pause while the stock market is closed.
@Fluxion_network: @0xMantle's native DEX for trading xStocks 24/7 through AMM + RFQ. Worth watching for after-hours moves as Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon report this week.
Anything we should test this week?

Hyperliquid 🖤
The HIP-3 Market S&P500 won the poll.
We’ve already run test trades on it against Hyperliquid mainnet.
Soon. Happy Friday, go touch grass.
Yesterday we asked which market you want next on Silhouette's RFQ Perps.
You came back with $ETH and a long list of HIP-3 markets.
Here's the shortlist - Vote, and reply with anything we missed.

About 3,000 odd fills which is like a day or more, every time.
On our Perps RFQ that's at least 30 requests at our $100k cap.
I think we should raise the cap.

this is why i find what silhouette is doing with RFQs on hyperliquid pretty interesting
instead of splitting large orders and potentially moving the market against yourself, you get competing makers quoting your full size upfront
that way, you now know your execution price before committing
quite a useful addition to the HL eco imo especially for those who move size

I've been asked a few times about how our RFQ systems work. Perps, spot, and soon-to-be HIP4 markets use different mechanisms. Spot is a simple OTC-style transaction, but the perps side is more interesting.
We want to give users a firm price in an order book that prioritises cancellations. This leaves some traders unsure how much liquidity is actually there when they place a large order, so traders instead use TWAPs or drip their orders using another method. This theme recurs across most of our conversations.
We think a better approach is to let makers and takers pre-negotiate a price for a given size. The next problem is how to open or close at that price in an order book. Some solutions temporarily flood the books or have users DM MMs to increase liquidity until their order executes. While this works in practice, it gives the user less guarantee of an end fill and exposes that liquidity to other traders. Plus, it's a coordination pain.
Our solution is based on two principles: i) give the taker the best price and ii) give makers the ability to respond to large orders using the same margin they currently have on Hyperliquid
For the taker's best price. If the best price is inside the spread or at the tip of the book, then the trade executes as expected. If the trade is outside of the spread but the given size would walk past that price, the maker's order acts as a price wall for the taker. So the taker gets the benefit of any liquidity between their agreed price and the book's tip.
For the maker, the percentage of their order that fills depends on how close they are to the book, the order's relative size, and available liquidity. The basic heuristic is that the closer you quote to the book, the more of the order will fill. We designed the system so makers can use the same wallets they typically use to trade. One interesting use case is using the RFQ to unwind positions more effectively.
The system is designed to be more deterministic for both makers and takers, providing clarity for trades that would move the book. The order book can typically absorb small/medium punts on liquid pairs. But as trade size increases or markets get less liquid, our mechanism becomes far more effective.
We're working on extending the request model to support multi-leg, multi-instrument requests. This would give a better user experience for the crazier strategies I've seen out there, and with Hyperliquid's depth, it is the best place to support this use case.
In the meantime, you can expect more pairs and bigger clip sizes shortly. Go trade: app.silhouette.exchange/rfq

If you hold a large spot $HYPE position and want to hedge it without selling, @silhouette_ex RFQ lets you open the full short in one print instead of slicing it into a book that’s watching you.
Say a holder has 128K $HYPE staked or locked and wants to neutralise price risk. At a $78.02 mid, that’s about $10M of short perp exposure, which is a lot to push through any order book in one go:
→ Request: The holder asks for a sell of 128K HYPE-PERP with a 30-second auction window. Nothing touches the book, so the market doesn’t see the hedge coming.
→ Quotes: Three makers bid for the full size at $77.93, $77.87 and $77.81, each with its order already signed, so none of them can pull back once a quote is accepted.
→ Fill: The holder takes $77.93, 12 bps under mid. The maker’s bid posts on @HyperliquidX book and the sell fills against it, which locks in about $12K of cost, known before signing.
→ Book alternative: The same order as a market sell would walk the bids down to an average near $77.74, about 36 bps or $36K, and leave a visible print trail for anyone front-running the rest.
→ Result: Spot and perp offset, the short sits in the holder’s own Hyperliquid account, and nothing is deposited with Silhouette. The holder keeps staking yield while the price risk is gone.
this post means a lot, thank you @rektdiomedes
tbh I am surrounded and supported by an incredible team
there are some real unsung heroes at pear fr fr
I've made a total of 6 seed investments during my time in brypto...
And the most successful of them by far has been @pear_protocol 💪🍐
@hufhaus9 and co have just shipped and iterated like crazy ever since they started...
And as a seed investor I couldn't have asked for a better experience...
Have made a good profit on it and continue to own some today (and even bought some on the open market during the bear when it was ridiculously low)... and continue to be extremely bullish on it...
Have a couple more recent seed investments I made that I'm super optimistic about too and will post about soon...
But so far Pear has been the most successful by far 💪
Wanted to do a post about it as I know in general sentiments towards seed investing in crypto are quite low these days...
But there's definitely good teams and good people shipping hard...

The way we execute large trades onchain is outdated.
It's also unnecessarily expensive when liquidity is thin.
Try selling $100K worth of an altcoin through an average orderbook size. Nearly impossible.
Without enough buyers, parts of your order can fill at lower prices.
While exploring shielded trading, @silhouette_ex found that larger traders were more worried about tipping off the market before making a trade.
This is precisely the feedback that helped shape their RFQ system, which is already live for @xStocksFi and now expanding to BTC and HYPE perps on @HyperliquidX.
Here's how it works:
→ Request a price for the entire trade
→ Market makers compete with quotes
→ Accept the quote you prefer
All perp trades still execute through Hyperliquid's orderbook. Better prices in the book get priority, while the market maker fills the remainder at the agreed price.
Large trades need this kind of flexibility.
Gud tek.
