I rewatched the @nvidia keynote with my wife and kids last night.
One thing I noticed is that they didn't understand much about what Jensen talked about.
Most people, if they watch it, will miss 90% of what he discussed and showed off.
The AI community here on X is way way way way ahead of everyday people.
Fixing that is way over my pay grade, but is why I built the lists I did of 5,900 AI companies: teapaw.org/scobleizer/lists and this knowledge gap is gonna drive everything I do from now on.
When I say the Holodeck is coming, even those who are here struggle to understand what I'm saying.
We are seeing several paradigm shifts at the same time hitting humans.
It's quite exciting, but also daunting.
One thing, I've been off X Pro the past week, trying to keep up wholly on my iPhone. Depending on the algorithm to pick items to show me makes life easier, but you miss so much.
Glad to be back home.
Oh, and probably the biggest industry shift is the one to autonomous vehicles. Zeekr showed off its new battery technology that can recharge in five minutes (my Tesla takes 30 to do the same). That has deep implications on robotaxi networks.
Of course @elonmusk hasn't announced the battery technology that will be included in the Cybercab yet. I expect that he'll have to choose a similar battery for it.
Yesterday I talked with @megaprompt's AI for hours. It was highly fascinating to hear just how advanced AI has gotten. And most people, even most who use ChatGPT or Grok, have absolutely no idea as to what AI can really do.
I remember seeing Dolby Atmos for the first time (spatial audio) at CES. It took even me seven more years to get it into my home.
And most of my friends and family still don't have a Dolby Atmos capable system in their homes.
The future is here, but will take years to get everyday people to understand how to use it.
Which gives all of you a HUGE leg up.
Every once in a while I go over to one of the other social networks. Those others are WAY behind.
So, congrats on being on X and trying to keep up with AI and other innovations that are going to soon radically change every part of our world.
I did 35 videos at CES.
The most mind blowing was #9 and the most important for the future is #29.
But this is just a very small portion of what is at CES. The award winners are at ces.tech/ces-innovation-awar… and those 500 products are the best of the best. Much easier to look through all of them than walking the huge halls.
One thing I wish I had spent more time in is the medical device hall. I just didn't have time, unfortunately, but the devices there, like new rings and watches that can sense the human body will bring a new kind of health care to humans.
