Going to leave it here in case I want to add to it later.

Unable to sleep cos I'm thinking how redundant the doctor's cliche "you can't see pain on an MRI" is.
No, but you can see damage, bleeding, inflammation, lesions and structural abnormalities.
I don't need you to see my pain. I can feel it. I know where it is.

i got diagnosed with eds at ~15 and pots at ~14, mcas at ~17. ive watched over the years as they turned from a largely unknown overlapping group of illnesses that i had to fight every waking moment to get help for, to internet "buzzwords" that mean "fake disabled". its disgusting

So odd how we're not calling years of below-inflation pay rises "quiet paycutting"

When I started working I used to get a bonus, thank you payment at Christmas, bank Holiday time and a half if worked and paid if taken off, canteen with a cooked lunch now all gone. Bosses constantly look for ways to give staff the bare minimum so should expect the same in return

I remember years ago talking to someone on here who told me her M.E symptoms were blamed on Tim Henman losing at Wimbledon. Her name was Kay that's all I remember.
If you think that's laughable you haven't met many psychiatrists.

I think Doctors really need to start from a place where they recognise how much they get wrong. Saying ‘we care too much’ gives real ‘my only weakness is perfectionism’ vibes.
You could even ask patients if that isn’t too beneath you!

You’re telling me not a single person considered the impact that may have on them?
It's disturbing to think that a world famous athlete can be raising awareness of the mistreatment and neglect of people with #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis on national television while at the same time another severely ill #pwME is being denied lifesaving treatment in an NHS hospital.
