I never felt the stigma, because I knew I’d never get traditionally published. I went into writing my first novel knowing I would have to do it all myself.
No helping hand. No inside track. No putting in a good word with someone. Nothing.
Literally building from the ground up with grass roots readers who I hope will eventually become fans.
Does anyone still care who published a book?
Self-publishing used to carry a stigma. Now big names crowdfund their own editions, and readers mostly want a good story.
Still feel that stigma, or is it gone?

A wall of every book as an editable index card. On a book, a chapter corkboard pins chapter cards to the beats of the story structure you chose.
Plan the shelf. Then write.

Cloud writing apps ask for an account first. Then the data follows their servers.
Storybook: Master Novelist flips that. No account. No tracking. No company servers. On-device storage plus your own writer iCloud. The draft stays yours.

Series tools belong in the writing app, not in a side spreadsheet.

Six years ago I got sober.
Don’t drink, get sober.
Life is so much cooler that way.
More energy for building stuff, better relationships, stronger work ethic.
Just be sober.

Long before it was an app, Storybook was a Notion template. Everything that template asked a writer to track by hand is now something the app quietly tracks instead.

One of the biggest mistakes writers make is waiting until they're "finished" before getting feedback.
A good editor catches problems while they're still easy to fix, saving you countless revisions later.
I'm currently open for new editing clients. If you'd like another set of experienced eyes on your manuscript, my DMs are open.

After many months of work, I'm thrilled to announce the first draft of the Mistborn screenplay is DONE! Just in time to celebrate the book's original publication, twenty years ago this month. Do please remember that this is just an early step in a very long process, but I'm terribly excited by how it turned out!

Every character, place, culture, and item sits on one connected canvas, laid out as a clean spanning tree. Tap Focus on any card, and everything it touches lights up at once.

One price covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and it always will. No monthly bill creeping in after the first good review. Own the tool the same way you own the manuscript it holds.

Sometimes the difference between a manuscript that gets remembered and one that gets forgotten isn't the idea.
It's the execution.
Editing is where good stories become compelling ones. If you're looking for developmental editing, line editing, or honest manuscript feedback, I'm currently taking on new projects.
