Series X getting popular all of a sudden on Amazon
#20 right now, yesterday it was in the 60's, last week around the 70's, and the past month was in the mid 100's
PS5 is a combined SKU with Disc, Digital, and Pro. Switch 2 is solo.

When Outer Worlds 2 and Doom Dark Ages launched day 1 on ps5 and both underwhelmed sales wise nobody was blaming game pass suddenly unlike with Forza
Totally agree with Danno! It’s a much bigger picture for sure!
If 400K is accurate for Gears of War: E-Day, it wouldn’t include those who paid early access and doesn’t tell the whole story.
That said people who are jumping at Xbox fans for not supporting it by buying it, other than weirdos like me why are we blaming the fans for not buying it?
That is why Game Pass exists in the first place. If this wasn’t on Game Pass then this is a much bigger story and failure, but if someone is paying for a service and a game is in said service I wouldn’t expect them to buy it. Would love for them to do so, but don’t expect it.
I still think the end game here is first party stops being day 1 game pass, but until that day comes sales as the metric is too difficult to determine how successful a game is on Xbox.

The next time an influencer or media member wonders why people with Game Pass didn’t go out and buy/support a game….
Ask that person if they went out and bought the game after they received their “free” review code.
They will likely say no I already have the game why would I?

Gears of War: E-Day is a victim of how Xbox handled its brand. Older Gears games sold far better as exclusives.
Spend an entire generation telling people they don’t need an Xbox, and eventually you’re left with fewer people to sell your games to.
I bought the game physically, day one. I did my part!

Gotta say this looks pretty dang good. My only critique would be the Marvel quips during combat. Don’t get why devs are so obsessed with characters throwing out one liners every five seconds when in combat. It’s getting old imo.
