🔬 Four important discussions from the final Presidential Sessions at #ESMO26! 💊 KEYNOTE-C93: Pembrolizumab monotherapy improved PFS in dMMR advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer, although the prespecified non-inferiority criterion was not met. An important step toward chemotherapy-free treatment. 🎯 Sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT): Impressive results in previously treated endometrial cancer, with improved PFS (7.2 vs 3.9 months) and OS (19.0 vs 12.1 months). ADCs are clearly changing the landscape! 🧬 MOIO trial: Can we safely extend immunotherapy intervals to every 3 months? The trial stopped early, leaving the question statistically unresolved and highlighting the challenges of treatment de-escalation. 📊 Non-inferiority: Who decides how much efficacy we can afford to lose? A great reminder that statistical margins must also reflect clinical judgment and patient preferences. Four discussions that could shape how we design trials and treat patients in the coming years. 💚 @osutcuoglu @uyargalip @kbaskurtt @tubaugurdr @drOrhunakdogan @myESMO #ESMO26 #ESMO2026 #Oncology #Immunotherapy #EndometrialCancer #ADC #ClinicalTrials

🎉 Proud to present our study at #ESMO2026 in Madrid! 🇪🇸 (3904P) 🦴 In our prospective two-center study of 190 patients, adding loratadine to naproxen showed numerically lower G-CSF-induced bone pain (27.9% vs 32.7%), without statistical significance. 🧠 Greater pain was associated with poorer quality of life, sleep, mood, and anxiety. 💡 Bone pain is more than pain. Supportive care matters! 🏆 Proud to contribute four posters to ESMO as a team! 🙏 Grateful to the International Cancer Foundation for the travel grant and to all our collaborators! @myESMO @OncoAlert @uyargalip @kbaskurtt @osutcuoglu @RyanNipp #InternationalCancerFoundation #OneGlobalOncologyCommunity #ESMO26 #ESMO

Happy to share our new study published in The Oncologist! In patients with de novo mHSPC, baseline 25(OH)D provided prognostic information for progression-free survival and contributed to a prognostic model that was externally validated. 🔗 doi.org/10.1093/oncolo/oyag3… Grateful to all co-authors and collaborators. #ProstateCancer #mHSPC #OncologyAdvances #Oncology @osutcuoglu @kbaskurtt @Xesiloglu @drOrhunakdogan @tubaugurdr @yucelbirkadriye @oncodaily @OncoAlert @OncBrothers @OncoDailyGU @OUPAcademic

🚨 Can a routine pre-treatment blood test help predict pathological complete response (pCR) in breast cancer? Thrilled to share our latest multi-center study now in #TheBreast By combining lipid metabolism and systemic inflammation into a single marker, RCII (Remnant Cholesterol × CRP): 📉 Lower log-RCII was independently associated with a higher likelihood of pCR (adj. OR 0.48, 95% CI 0.33–0.69). 🎯 Strong discrimination in the external validation cohort (AUC: 0.84, 95% CI 0.76–0.91)! A promising, accessible signal awaiting prospective validation 🔬 doi.org/10.1016/j.breast.202…  #BreastCancer #Oncology #MedTwitter #bcsm #OncologyAdvances @osutcuoglu @kbaskurtt @Xesiloglu @drOrhunakdogan @oncodaily @OncoAlert @crisbergerot @DrMirallas @OncologyAdvance

⌚ Can a smartwatch identify high-risk patients after discharge? In STEP-CANCER, ≤3,013 steps/day was linked to 90-day readmission (73% vs 13%) and mortality (47% vs 9%). Congrats to @drOrhunakdogan , @uyargalip and team. Special thanks to @crisbergerot and @realbowtiedoc 🙏

🎉 Our new study is now published in Discover Oncology! 🧬 Association between PhenoAge-assessed biological age and survival outcomes in solid tumor patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors 🔬 In this retrospective, two-center study of 302 patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitor monotherapy, we evaluated whether biological aging, assessed by PhenoAgeAccel, was associated with clinical outcomes. 📊 Patients with accelerated biological aging (PhenoAgeAccel >0) had significantly shorter PFS (3.8 vs 7.7 months)and OS (7.1 vs 20.4 months) compared with patients without accelerated biological aging. 💡 In multivariable analyses, PhenoAgeAccel remained independently associated with both PFS (HR 1.93) and OS (HR 2.19), suggesting that biological age may provide prognostic information beyond chronological age in patients receiving immunotherapy Many thanks to @osutcuoglu for always guiding, supporting, and inspiring us, and to our amazing team for all their hard work and contributions.🙏🏻 📖 Discover Oncology

🎉 Our new study is now published in JCO Global Oncology! 💊🖐️ Topical Diclofenac for Prevention of Capecitabine-Induced Hand-Foot Syndrome: A Prospective Real-World Study 🔬 In this prospective, two-center real-world study of 151 patients receiving capecitabine-based therapy, we evaluated prophylactic topical diclofenac for the prevention of clinically significant hand-foot syndrome (HFS). 📊 Grade ≥2 HFS occurred in 16.9% (12/71) with topical diclofenac versus 13.8% (11/80) with active monitoring (OR 1.28; 95% CI, 0.52–3.10; P = .591). 💡 Our findings showed that prophylactic topical diclofenac did not reduce clinically significant HFS or delay its onset in routine clinical practice, adding prospective real-world evidence to this evolving area of supportive oncology. 🙏 Special thanks to our first author, Dr. Orhun Akdoğan(@drOrhunakdogan) and our mentor, Dr. Osman Sütcüoğlu(@osutcuoglu) for their leadership and guidance, and to our entire team(@uyargalip, @kbaskurtt, @yucelbirkadriye) for their valuable contributions.
