Nicely done ! Best wishes on your nomination @GevTamamyan !
One of the saddest things to come across today. @rachnatshroff was such a delight even though I have only met her briefly at random meetings. May God have mercy on her soul and give strength to her family :(
Devastating news 💔
Rest in peace dear Rachna.

I can’t think of a better testimonial that points to the need for @theNCI trials via groups like @SWOG than this! @LauraEsfeller we are so lucky to have a dedicated & passionate patient advocate in our corner. Appreciate all that you do! @SupportingSWOG
Honored to serve our incredible @SWOG #GUonc committee w/ my fellow patient advocates, Darrell & Joël. It’s empowering to use our lived experience to help create clinical trials for our fellow patients. Years ago, it was @PeggyZuckerman who was my voice when #PAPMET S1500 was created. I’m humbly grateful that brilliant study team led by @montypal not only saved my life with this research, but that it led to a CR that allows me to give back. Thank you to @SupportingSWOG for making it possible for patients to participate in research advocacy!

This study establishes a noninvasive spatiotemporal heterogeneity biomarker based on 18 F-FDG PET-CT that reliably predicts treatment response and prognostic outcomes in unresectable LA-NSCLC. It offers valuable insights for personalized clinical decision making and supports precision oncology.

Surprise indeed.
Quite a surprise, I-dxd BLA application withdrawn. The wait for an ADC for small cell lung cancer outside China will continue, disappointing news #lcsm stocktitan.net/news/MRK/ifin…

Totally agree!
I strongly believe that academic leadership positions should have term limits. While an institution may occasionally benefit from an exceptional long-serving leader, there is also a significant risk in allowing individuals to remain in positions of authority indefinitely, particularly when their leadership is ineffective. Because these positions are relatively secure, the broader faculty, staff, and department can end up bearing the consequences of poor leadership for many years.
A reasonable model would be a six-year term, with the possibility of one additional term following a rigorous review. That review should include an independent external committee as well as a meaningful evaluation of the health, performance, and perspectives of the section or department.
I have seen leaders remain in their positions for 12 years or more and, over time, surround themselves primarily with people who agree with them or are reluctant to challenge their decisions. This can create a culture of “yes” people, discourage independent thinking and constructive dissent, and make meaningful change increasingly difficult. Term limits, combined with a credible review process, would promote accountability, encourage renewal, and help ensure that leadership positions serve the interests of the institution and its people rather than becoming positions of indefinite personal authority.
Hopefully the actual data lives upto the expectations! #MerkModerna Neoantigen vaccine
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but...
If your press release claims a trial succeeded, you should *at a bare minimum* disclose effect size and stats for primary endpoint.
If a puny biotech had issued a data-free PR like this, @adamfeuerstein would've ripped them a new one.
Wonderful read relevant to the current times both for academic and operational leaders !
