Four years after allegations of a massive Rs 3.29-crore dog sterilisation scam rocked the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), the controversy has resurfaced as the official investigation report itself has reportedly gone missing. The scam revolves around claims that contractors were paid for sterilising 7,125 dogs during the strict COVID-19 lockdown between March and August 2020, a period when normal activities were completely halted. Significant discrepancies have also been found in the biomedical waste records maintained by the PCMC veterinary department and the assigned agencies. On 24th October, parts of a shelter made by Jagriti Mishra were allegedly demolished by AAP goons without any prior notice. She suffered ₹70 Lakh loss due to this The shelter reportedly cares for street dogs, including severely injured and paralysed animals that require ongoing attention The AAP goons demanded bribe from her and upon refusing they did that inhuman act.
