Code Chronicles V.2 brings together artists Claudia Hart, Libby Heaney, Seo Hyojung, Ellie Pritts, Emily Xie, and Addie Wagenknecht in an exploration of how generative processes and artificial intelligence are reshaping artistic production.
Extending @aljaparis inquiry initiated in the 2023 exhibition Code Chronicles—which considered the ways algorithmic structures sustain and reinterpret visual continuity—this iteration shifts attention toward more entangled dynamics. Here, computational systems are not simply tools but active participants.

The Ruins implement still lives, to contemplate the decay of western civilization. In this work, a small ghostly painting combined as one work with a digital file, Hart thinks about the ephemeral nature of Modern painting canons.

Anika Meier (@postanika) is a writer and curator specializing in digital art. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany, and teaches at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (Class of UBERMORGEN, Department of Digital Art).
She is the curator of the objkt labs Residency, the lead curator of @artontezos_ Berlin, and the co-founder of The Second-Guess.

Works by media art pioneer @ClaudiaHart, starting from her first mint on our platform in 2023 to three stunning pieces exhibited in the collective show "We Emotional Cyborgs", curated by @_second_guess Gallery.
The first retrospective of the artist, "Patterns and Politics," opens tomorrow, August 28, at the Francisco Carolinum Linz Museum
@ooeculture and runs until February 8, 2026. This exhibition presents over three decades of Claudia Hart’s boundary-breaking art. Her lush 3D environments fuse scientific models and ornamental flourishes with a playful, critical spirit. It's an event not to be missed.
Hart will also participate in a panel on September 5 at 4 PM at the same institution. The panel, titled "Radical Optimism? Cyberfeminism Then and Now," features Julianne Pierce of VNS Matrix and @Malpractice_net. The discussion will be moderated by Anika Meier @postanika, with an introduction by Julia Staudach.
