This sort of thinking has been hardwired in the Nigerian society. I remember as far back as Fuji house of commotion, they saw this as normal. To them it is a flex and a normal thing. It even shows in our music.

This is very sad. But should we be surprised? NO

On family bills, it is so terrible that some mothers will rather watch the kids stay home than pay for their school fees when the father falls short of meeting up. If he can’t pay out of his pocket, the kids will stay out of school.
Or do we talk about those who inflate an already expensive school fees. There’s enough financial burden on the man, but you still add more for your personal gain.
The kids grow and get caught up in this web of lies, get into university and continue the legacy. Inflate fees for their parents and even add unnecessary bills.
They asked us to pay for oxidation and reduction -200k.

I have a University degree but I don't earn up to 80,000 naira in a month. Before I got the job, I did series of interviews. I was interviewed by many professionals in my field and I answered correctly, so I got the job.
Why can't "My president" be interviewed too? Is He shy?

When I said we should aspire to return to a Nigeria where $1 was around ₦200 and petrol was ₦87, I was NOT saying the government should simply defend the naira with scarce dollars or permanently subsidize petrol.
That is lazy thinking.
There are better and more sustainable ways to strengthen the naira and make energy affordable:
1. Industrialize Nigeria: produce more of what we consume and export more of what the world needs.
2. Fix electricity: businesses cannot be competitive when they spend fortunes generating their own power.
3. Attract foreign investment: create policies, security, infrastructure and certainty that make investors want to bring dollars into Nigeria.
4. Increase exports and diversify beyond crude oil: agriculture, manufacturing, solid minerals, technology and services can generate substantial foreign exchange.
5. Refine our crude locally: instead of exporting crude and importing expensive refined petroleum products.
6. Build infrastructure: good roads, rail, ports and logistics reduce the cost of producing and moving goods.
7. Create a stable business environment: predictable taxes, regulations and monetary policies encourage both local and foreign investors.
8. Invest in human capital and technology: a productive, skilled population creates higher-value goods and services that can compete globally.
The point is simple:
A strong currency should be the RESULT of a strong and productive economy, not something sustained artificially by government intervention.
And affordable petrol should come from efficient refining, increased domestic production, competition and lower operating costs, not necessarily from endlessly spending public money on subsidies.
So no, I am not advocating economic shortcuts.
I am saying we should build an economy that naturally makes the naira stronger and the cost of living lower.
Every single part of your daily peace is governed by politics. If you're holding onto a cracked screen because phones now cost millions or you can't buy shawarma without doing mathematics, you are feeling the real-world weight of state failure.
Everything is politics.

Provincial library looking like something Wike would shut down the entire Nigeria to commission and then proceed to abandon in the soonest time.
You read my mind sir ?.. one LGA has been supporting KOGI APC Since 2014, the first road project APC is commissioning there is a 13km road for just one faction of the LGA.
The people of Kogi State cannot be saved. I have not seen a state that is so backward and screams poverty like that before. You don’t need a signpost or a billboard to welcome you to the state. If you are coming from Abuja, Benue, Kwara, Enugu, or wherever, as soon as you get into the state’s boundaries, you already know where you are.
Now, that is not the saddest part. The saddest, most shocking part is that the entire state is an avid Tinubu and APC supporter.
The biggest billboards in the state are those of Tinubu and APC politicians.
Before you see a good secondary school in that state, you’ll see 50 in another state. Before you see a good restaurant, hospital, or even streetlights, you’ll see 100 in other states.
But whenever and wherever there’s an APC rally, go and see youths, parents, children, and civil servants there en masse. I have never seen anything like this in my life before.

My take is that if they allow for China to take over these small businesses from traders because of cheap prices. They should also allow for importation of Chinese cements to crash cement prices from rich man Dangote. What's good for Ukraine is also good for Uganda 🤷

This sort of foolery is what Nigerians describe as playing politics
So when they see an individual who doesn’t participate in this foolery , Nigerians will say the person doesn’t understand politics or the person doesn’t have experience. 😂😂
