We should stop using "translation" in "machine translation" (MT). When translators translate, they consciously create text in another language (no matter the quality). Language by def. relies on understanding to communicate. MT mimics that but uses a wildly different process.

My top tip, post #ata63 or any other conference. Day 1. Transfer all the notes/cards/info/flyers to a *single* location. (May involve scanning, will involve task lists) Day 2. Spend 15 min on the stack/list. Day 3, etc., repeat. Otherwise you will miss opportunities. I have.
