$MINA is the new zcash:native
so are you telling me mina-protocol:native is up +170% in the last 30 days, and altseason hasn't even started
10x is coded

the next crypto giant might be solving a problem nobody cares about yet.
when demand finally arrives, its foundation will already be in place.
I pick mina-protocol:native
Mina is an easy 10X from here. It is a privacy coin with a small mcap and a lot of attention.
Nothing against Monero, but it is extremely hard to buy. Monero is private by default. Zcash has stronger privacy tech, but it's optional. This kind of privacy makes compliance with AML and KYC rules effectively impossible. Institutions will never adopt it.
Privacy coins had their moment, and Zcash ran hard. But smart money doesn't chase the last pump, it front-runs the next one. Mina has the same zk edge, a narrative you can actually get behind, and a market cap that's still flying under the radar. When the privacy trade rotates, Mina could be the one everyone wishes they'd noticed sooner
Mina was also backed by @cbventures back in the day.
Will mina-protocol:native go back to the top 100?
It went from 403rd to 161st in 30 days.
ZEC was the right trade. Past tense, and I mean that as a compliment. An ETF, the SEC inquiry closed — all real, all priced. It made privacy a sector people allocate to. It didn't make ZEC cheap.
ZEC is now 62% of a $33.6B category. To repeat, it has to hold that share while the sector 6x's.
Mina is $130M inside the same sector.
The leader builds the narrative. It rarely captures the second half of it.

Where's the Mina army at? ⚔️🛡️🪶
Let’s go mina-protocol:native
One more for the list: $MINA
0.058 → 0.082, up 39% in that window.
Worth flagging because it fits your original point rather than breaking it.
Your argument was that by the time a narrative reaches you, the move is made. That's true at $ZEC's size — it's rank 7 now. It's not true at $105M, which is where nobody has written the thread yet.
Follow-up on the same-BTC-price test, because it turned up something.
BTC was $78,466 on Aug 22. It's $78,810 today. Flat, same as before.
$MINA: $0.05847 → $0.08157. Up 39% while Bitcoin did nothing.
Here's why I think that's not a fluke.
Privacy is the only sector above
Bitcoin's October 2025 peak — up 213%, while the median top-200 asset sits 58% below it and gaming is down 74%. The sector went from $7.1B to $33.6B in a year, and nearly half of that landed in the last 30 days.
But ZEC is 62% of it.
That number is the whole thesis. DOGE was about 36% of memecoins at the 2021 peak — and that sector went on to $150B in 2024 with DOGE holding a smaller share of a much bigger pie. The money that arrives second never goes to the leader. It goes to whatever the leader made people care about.
Ex-ZEC, privacy is up 85%. ZEC is up 2,496%. That gap isn't a warning, it's the unstarted part of the trade.
$MINA. Zero-knowledge L1, The Mesa upgrade just shipped, $105M cap against a $33.6B sector.
That's the trade. Not the coin that already did 25x.
Everyone keeps telling me altcoins are outperforming, and they always have ten examples ready.
Here is the test I use. Pick two dates when Bitcoin was at the same price, then look up the altcoin on both of them.
I ran it this afternoon. Bitcoin was 78,318 on August 22. It is 78,440 today. Seventeen days apart, and Bitcoin has gone nowhere.
Here is where the biggest coins sat on those same two dates.
Ethereum: down 1%
XRP: down 2%
Dogecoin: down 2%
Tron: down 1%
Cardano: down 3%
Avalanche: up 2%
Six of the nine largest altcoins are within a few percent of exactly where they were the last time Bitcoin was at this price. They went up harder when Bitcoin went up, and they gave it back when Bitcoin stalled. A coin that only moves louder than Bitcoin is still following Bitcoin.
Now the honest part, because there were real exceptions.
Solana: up 10%
BNB: up 9%
Chainlink: up 5%
Those are genuine. If you were in them before anyone was talking about them, well done, that was a good trade.
But that is the bit that gets skipped when someone shows me their ten examples. Those trades needed you to already know the narrative, not to hear about it. By the time it reaches me, and then reaches you through me, the move has been made.
So here is where I actually am. I am sitting in Bitcoin and waiting.
Not because altcoins are finished, I do not think that at all. It is because "altcoins are outperforming" turned out to mean two or three of them did, and I would rather hold the thing I know my level on than chase the ones I was too slow for.
