They want him to be nice to the people that called him a jihadist. I’m glad he’s not backing down.
I love that he is an asshole to the media and Republicans. I hate respectability politics. Get that kumbaya shit outta here.

There is fear in that voice. There is realization the masses are done and rising up against the 1% who have raped the Earth. Whatever it takes for them to wake up, as long as the system is changed to help the many.
Chamath Palihapitiya admits his blind spot on America's broken two-tier economy PALIHAPITIYA: "I got it totally totally totally wrong. I got it totally wong." "I'll go through all the ways in which I got it wrong, but I just want to first acknowledge what my blind spot is. Like most people's blind spots, but I can just speak for myself, it is through the lens of my own lived experience and very narrowly what is in my best interests. And I think what we had was a move away from the culture wars that was very much in my best interest, but I think it was in everybody else's best interests as well. I don't think that was on the ballot. But what I don't think I understood clearly enough, and I think that this election has made extremely clear, is that since COVID, we have moved past political ideology. And I want to say this again: I do not think Democrats or Republicans matter. That is my real takeaway after this election. There is a central block of people that vote the prescient issues of our time." "It was a gargantuan win for Biden, then it was a gargantuan win for Trump, and then it was a gargantuan win for the Democrats in these midterms. What are these people voting for? I think what they are shouting now—they were trying to signal and now they are shouting—is a broad-based belief that the economy has completely decoupled from reality and is broken. The economic reality in America is broken." "There is a small percentage of people, the four of us on this pod and all of our friends, who are the asset owners of America. And we have benefited in every weather condition. When rates were zero, we benefited because we were able to build our businesses with very cheap capital. When rates were high, we benefited because we had pricing power. And in every condition in between, whether there were tariffs, whether there were not tariffs, whether there were subsidies, whether there were not subsidies, we've all managed to continue to accumulate and grow assets, but we are few and far between." "And then there's everybody else who are wage earners, and the structural capacity of the American economy to support and grow wage earners is broken. It's clear. Why do I say that? I do not think, and I disagree with Freeberg, I don't think this has anything to do with socialism. I don't think the far left won particularly more than they were expected. I don't think the far right won particularly more than was expected. This is a complete and total repudiation about the state of the economy. The economy is broken. I have a few charts to support my point of view. Number one, if this was ideological and if ideology mattered, money in politics would have had a more direct impact on the election."

I never imagined that one day I would stand helplessly watching rainwater flood the only place we have left to live. 💔 Today has been an incredibly difficult day for us. The rain kept pouring for hours, and water began flooding into our tent. We tried everything we could to stop it from reaching our belongings and bedding. I stood there watching the water seep inside, wondering: How much longer do we have to live like this? Haven’t we already been through enough? We have survived bombings, death, displacement, and hunger. But today, we are struggling to survive the rain too. I’m exhausted from having to worry about everything. In summer, we fear the unbearable heat. In winter, we fear the rain and freezing cold. Even when we lay our heads down to sleep, we never know what might happen during the night. Sometimes, all I wish for is to wake up in my old room, in the home we lost, and listen to the rain falling outside my window instead of watching it pour into our tent. I miss the simple things that used to be a normal part of our lives, things we never imagined we would one day be deprived of. I don’t know how many more winters we will have to spend like this, or how many more times we will be forced to start over. All I know is that we have suffered far too much, and we deserve to finally live in safety and dignity. After everything we have survived, today we are fighting just to keep the rainwater from flooding our tent. 💔 Please keep us in your prayers.

Gaza’s displaced families are being left to face freezing winter storms in tents that are now submerged in floodwater. This suffering cannot be allowed to continue, while the world turns a blind eye. Alongside fellow MPs, I have written to the Foreign Secretary demanding urgent action and international pressure on Israel to end the obstruction of aid and reconstruction. Britain must stop issuing statements of concern and start using its influence to force change.

🚨 PLEASE READ, SIGN AND SHARE. I urge everyone to read the heartbreaking testimony of Palestinian journalist @Tamer_Alnoaizy, reporting from the displacement camps in Gaza. What more must these people endure before the world acts? These are human beings. Children. Families. People who have already endured unimaginable suffering, now abandoned to face the winter in conditions no human being should ever have to be exposed to. And still, our government remains complicit in supporting the genocide in Gaza. Please read Tamer's testimony. Please don't look away. And please, if you haven't already, sign @jeremycorbyn's petition demanding a public inquiry into our governments role in all of this. petition.parliament.uk/petit… PLEASE SIGN. PLEASE SHARE. PLEASE HELP MAKE THEIR VOICES IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE. #GazaGenocide‌ #FreePalestine
I admit that I completely broke down today. I cried uncontrollably. I couldn’t hold myself together after witnessing what I saw with my own eyes. Today, we went to film a journalistic report inside the displacement tents along the seashore. I swear, what we witnessed was beyond what any human being should have to endure. I saw men crying bitterly. Men I had never seen cry when they lost their children or when their homes were destroyed. Today, I saw them crying because they were powerless to do the simplest thing: protect their children from the water and the cold. We spoke to families who told us they had spent the entire night carrying their children in their arms after floodwater covered the floors of their tents and soaked their mattresses. They couldn’t find a single dry place to put their children. They couldn’t even give them a few hours of sleep. I saw children no older than five, without proper clothes to protect them from the cold, without heating, and without a dry place to sleep. Children shivering inside tents that cannot keep out the rain, protect them from the wind, or provide even the most basic sense of safety. What more must happen for this world to act? How much more suffering must people endure before someone remembers that they are human beings? I am sick of this world. I am sick of its hypocrisy and empty slogans. To hell with a world that talks endlessly about human rights while leaving children to drown inside their tents. To hell with everyone who has witnessed this suffering and chosen silence, and to hell with the governments and institutions that have the power to act but continue to turn their backs on us.

What’s the point in having four parties?
By 19 votes to 3, the London Assembly condemned the Green Party’s new anti-Zionism policy. Reform, Labour, Conservatives and Lib Dems stood shoulder to shoulder. All three Greens voted against. The establishment united against the Greens.

The most obscenely dystopian government crackdown on human empathy and the freedom to express solidarity with victims of Israel’s perverse ideology is now being imposed within England’s education system. So here it is: a hierarchy of government-sanctioned racism will now browbeat and oppress any child in England who dares to speak out about the genocide in Gaza. Stories like the one below will mount up very quickly, then what? teapaw.org/EuropeanPowell/status/…
An example of just how far the British Labour Party will go to shut down criticism of the Palestinian Genocide...
