You people want to put me for talk. Let’s have it.
My dad was buried the same day he died. My twin and I knew what we wanted for him and we didn’t waste any time.
We were his first children, our opinion counted before any family member’s. His elder brother was around when he died but they listened to us.
We told them we don’t want him at the morgue and also want him buried in his house that same day.
During the burial rites, I never shed one tear.
But when everyone went to bed that night, for some reason I was the last to lock the door.
I cried bitterly when I got to my room. I remember every single detail of that night.
I went to my twin brother’s room. I said, ‘The owner of this house is sleeping outside tonight’.
We cried heavily! My twin and I couldn’t say anything to each other; we were soaked in tears, silent tears!
I felt bitterness in my mouth. I cried!
The next morning, I went outside and saw his grave, I cried again!
Every time I go home and see my dad’s grave, I shed one or two tears. It never ends!
Imagine Toluwanisings wife? I can understand her POV like madt!

This comment they are dragging you is the same narrative they are using to counter my tweet
Don’t stress yourself

Dear Men
As you prioritize your family, pls do prioritize yourself.
Go for your medical, take a break off work, Go for vacations and Enjoy yourself and have enough rest.
Also, tell your spouse to make you special dishes at least twice or thrice a month.
Pls don’t be carried away with the marital responsibilities only
May we not die young oooo.

Who here still believes that God can change your life before this year ends?
Life changes so fast, miracles happen everyday. Never stop believing 🙏🏾

Wonderful, I'm just learning this.
This would also mean that cemetaries shouldn't be close to residential areas right?
Legally speaking, it is a crime to bury someone in a residential building or area without the consent of the Governor of the state. All dead bodies are expected to be buried in a public or privately approved cemeteries. The jurisprudence of this law is due to public health and environmental hazard; decomposing fluids from the graves or improper home burials can seep into the water table, risking the contamination of local hand-dug wells and boreholes.
The issue here requires state’s intervention. It is rather unfortunate that the family is unable to agree on this and it shows there was never unity in the family in the first place.

Have you considered that she may not be able to bear the sight of her late husband’s remains because of how close they were and the deep bond they shared? Her mental health is at stake, do you really think burying him in the house where she will continue to live is the best thing

On the case of this Toluwani, Sincerely we need to change our mentality about how we bury our loved ones when they are gone.
This is my position and I need you all to reflect..

And why should she? Are people supposed to be buried at home? No cemetery? People always out to judge other people's decisions, especially at such a difficult time

"Burying loved ones in your compound" , I understand the mental cope from both ends, to some people it's gives them a wholesome feeling of still having their loved ones around, and to others they can't deal with the pain.
But what you can't do is decide for the victims, people handle grief differently.

Let's stop trying to twist the story by asking funny questions, based on data most women never remarry when their spouse die. The least of her problem is selling the house.
The family has shared an account number to support them so she can thrive. This question is unnecessary.

You're really dumb
Do you know how hard it is to live with her husband's dead body?
I couldn’t visit my dad’s grave until 7 years after he was buried
Selling that house is also a valid reason.

We experienced the same thing after my dad passed away. Some of his family members who abandoned him while he was alive suddenly showed up, demanding his properties and even wanting to sell some of his belongings.
Thankfully, we stood our ground and didn’t allow it.
Honestly, some family members need to be held accountable for their actions. It’s heartbreaking how people who were absent when someone needed them the most suddenly appear when there’s property and inheritance to claim. 💔
I am particularly upset on behalf of this lady.
The uncle asked if she knows him, which means all of them arent part of their life while the deceased was alive.
He also asked if he knows his father, which means Toluwani doesn't have any relationship with the father.
He abandoned the boy after the death of his mother.
The uncle dare to challenge the wife that he heard that Toluwani built a house for her as a gift for her birthday.... and he emphasized that yet see the way his father is.
That lady needs help and all the support she can get.
I know families like these... they're gold diggers and they'll make her life extremely miserable.
From the way the deceased uncle spoke, they're targeting his wealth.
I hope she gets the protection needed.
These are the kind of people that makes life horrible for women.
They abandoned his mother and now they're after this young lady.
Iyawo, don't allow anyone manipulate you or deceive you to agree to anything that will endanger you and your children.
Toba possible, if you can, leave their environment and be at peace.
I see a society that disrespects women at every slightest opportunity provided.
Before a man can build a house as a gift for a woman he loves, it means she earns it.
Unfortunately, death is revealing alot but men must always make proper planning incase of death, inorder to protect your immediate family.
As a young lady, before you marry, ask all the right questions. I love him doesn't protect you from wicked family members.
You see their picture together? It means they labor together when he was without a people, name, help. He rose in her arms and her arms kept him safe, he founds comfort in them.
Before you say, it is his house, see the picture and make a righteous judgement.
Sad story!

Some of you women are actually horrible. I can’t understand the tweets I’ve seen on my TL today.
I lost my dad and can’t explain what grieving was like for me.
A young lady lost her support system. They suffered together. Now, when they should be enjoying their moments and raising their kids, death took him! Death snatched that man from her!
I cannot, in my wildest imagination, understand how that lady is feeling. She needs all the support she can get!
But the man’s family members are pulling her down! If her pain should be 50%, now she’s at 150 or 200!
Guys, give people some grace. Women are the ones saying terrible things about the decision she has made!
Be careful; you may never know when it’s your time. We all owe death. Stop living like you own your life!

Most likely not, but if the need ever arose it’d be nice idea not to have him buried there.
It’s a bit of a hassle selling properties with bodies underneath them… 🤷🏾♀️.
I feel soo sad for widows, you have to adjust to doing life alone again.
