What tees, what yardage should I play from? #Golf ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️ “Drive x25” … which also aligns nicely w/ @PGA / @USGA Tee It Forward recommendations ⬇️ & typical @PGATOUR setups for their avg drive of 300. Plus…”Drive x25” rhymes.😉⛳️ – at Michigan, USA

“desire to collaborate” Oh, is that what that was? 🤣🤣🤣 Nonsense & naive if you actually believe that after watching what transpired over the past 5 years.

Like in all sports — rules & officiating — there is wide inconsistency in rulings. The 2-club test (which is FAR more improvement than this) happens nearly every tournament, ON CAMERA, so who knows what’s happening off. This was such a minor set down of club behind the ball (almost a natural & commonly repeated movement by golfers everywhere), it not only doesn’t seem like a penalty under the rules, but is at the ridiculous level of enforcement as to what’s happening weekly with examples like the 2-club test. But, as above, every sport deals with inconsistency & judgement issues resulting from the energy, excitement, & levels of competency of crews & staff.

LIV Golf is moving into the liquidation phase, confirmed this morning in U.S. Bankruptcy Court. There will be no LIV Golf 2.0. @ToddLewisGC and @ChambleeBrandel on Golf Central ⬇️

Good segment on VanityIndex | @Skratch on @GolfChannel with @USGA @USGAMike ⛳️Great to hear of modern thinking making its way into course ratings (via the GHIN app). This will likely make a larger impact industry-wide than you expect. Many courses right now are unwilling to pay the cost & commit the time to host a rating team fiasco. And it’s a timestamp type rating anyway…very rarely current or able to account for man-made or other type changes/weather damage to a course (without formal re-rating). This modern update might even encourage courses to recommend the GHIN app be downloaded & used by course members as a result to maintain a current & accurate course rating.👏👏👏 ⛳️Cool add of GPS, heat maps, rules AI, other information into the GHIN app. @WellsAdams quit hating on heat maps…information is not cheating. ⛳️PLACING the way to go for a “drop.”💯🎯 Easy to understand. Easy to implement. Time-saving rather than watching pros/players drop to corners of relief areas…2x, just to be able to finally place. Place within relief area granted, move on.

🐢on the market & I’m pretty sure @odysseygolf will have to sell at least 1,000 of each model to balance out the cost of the free ones I’m seeing on every “influencer” page. #Jealous #SendMeFreeStuff FYI: Everyone seems to be reading from the same script. Mission Accomplished.

You’ve got to be your own committee at times, most times imo based on the operational realities at courses — even in friendly or more competitive situations. Courses aren’t daily marking or accounting for all areas like this (& many others throughout a normal season) on ~150 acres of golf course. Even premier courses getting ready to host a tournament find & identify areas needing assessment & marking. The USGA spent nearly a week prep on Warren GC/Notre Dame (one of the best conditioned courses in our area) identifying, accounting for, & even marking many new areas to host the 2019 US Senior Open. Not enough white paint or time for courses to do these full course assessments daily — & definitely not at the level of course/s I play. The “play it like you find it” are nice words — but common sense & reality of expectation has to prevail at some point through the frequent golfer mindset of playing on tour/TV every round.

I’ve seen them in all kinds of orders & doesn’t look like that cart bag would fit on that (assuming rental) cart correctly anyway. When on a gas cart, my woods are up front, wedges in the rear. But I’ve also seen cart bags placed with the pockets facing the cart (inaccessible) which is weird to me…but…play at a good pace & have good etiquette & I’m fine with whatever.🤷‍♂️

Polishing compound/scratch remover (right … light to medium grade), then use cleaner wax (left) to shine…both w/ soft polishing cloth. All sold at auto stores/auto sections. ***Works GREAT on driver/fairway/hybrid head scratches as well as cleanup & finish*** (Actually why I own them) 👍⛳️

Kept formal handicaps on both sides of the pond. Sandbaggers/Bandits the biggest issue on both sides … & rampant. Vanity handicaps more in the US … but good thing is less than 15% even keep a formal handicap here, so not that many “formal” ones to worry about anyway.🤷‍♂️🤣 Just making up numbers to fit whatever the competition or bet asks for is a worldwide (& very common) thing.

It’s these “trival” rule nuances that should be identified/recognized as a nonsense gotcha write … & eliminated or normed to a common standard. Place all OR drop all … who cares 🤷‍♂️ … but the gotcha on too many of these types of sections/rules needs to be eliminated to make the rules easily understood & commonly enforced throughout the course & game of golf.
