Good chart.
Another day, another Econ 101 lesson for Professor Warren. Her “Trumpflation” tracker conveniently ignores the Bidenflation tidal wave that crushed American families, cherry-picks wage growth by refusing to acknowledge positive real wage gains since President Trump came into office, and swaps official medical-care CPI data for premium projections when it suits her narrative. The Harvard Square inflationista is offering a statistical sleight of hand, not a serious assessment of today’s U.S. economy. Here is the full picture, including an apples-to-apples comparison of President Trump’s real economic results measured against the failed policies Senator Warren championed under Biden.

“Can a person hide in secret places where I cannot see him?” ~Jeremiah 23:24 God sees EVERYTHING. Our private obedience. Our hidden sin. Our struggles. Our motives. That's both comforting and convicting. Live with integrity. Nothing is hidden from Him.

“All Scripture is inspired by God…” ~2 Timothy 3:16 It's easy to read Scripture and think about who ELSE needs teaching, rebuking, or correcting. But what about ME? Before using God's Word to correct others, let it correct YOU. Open it. Read it. Submit to it. Live it.

This is a good example of making a principled point without raising your voice or tearing someone else down. You just disagree in a respectful manner and cite evidence supporting your position. 👸 >♟️💥

hope you realize now it is no longer how smart we can get these AI models they are here. it is how can you get the most effective output from them in the shortest amount of time.

Lesson learned. Claiming the ability to end the world isn’t great for a roadshow.
BREAKING: Anthropic has delayed its IPO to November. The company is expected to meet with prospective institutional investors in the coming days as it prepares for what could become one of the largest IPOs ever.

Driving on Coalfax is the near equivalent of driving in Africa, Vietnam, India or KL - if we added tuk-tuks and scooters you’d have the whole experience. It’s literally lawless out there.

This is a signal. No one tunes into this because it’s old, slow, and irrelevant. Until it’s not. It’ll outperform almost everything.
BREAKING: U.S. 2-year yield climbs above 4.74%, its highest since July 2024

Signal. This is a for real building, at a for real address, in a for real city - Wow. I’m not sure what to say.
135 South LaSalle St. Chicago, Illinois Reported a new appraised value of just $34.0M, a 90% drop from its $330.0M valuation when the loan was originated in 2015. The building is nearly empty and cash flow has been negative for years. CMBS ($100.0M | 47.5% of CGCMT 2015-GC31) -Morningstar #CommercialRealEstate

Colossians 3 is filled with ACTION: set your mind, put sin to death, put off the old, put on the new, forgive, love, give thanks, work hard. But don’t miss the order: “God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved…” (v.12) We don’t work FOR His acceptance. We work FROM it.

Not unusual.
Highest paid people at company I just spoke with: 1. Sales Rep - ~$870K 2. Sales Rep - ~$800K 3. Sales Rep - ~$730K 4. CRO - ~$680K 5. Sales Rep - $670K 6. COO - ~625K Pays to be in sales. This is cash comp. If you factor in equity (potential) then no AEs will be in top 10.

Driving these kinds of numbers at the state level tells you there are some big outliers underneath - meaning down twice this - I need to go find a lower level view for CO - I bet it’s telling.
UPDATE: Washington, DC leads the country: 17.8% of everything for sale today is listed below what the owner paid. And still no buyer. Other notable markets: Colorado: 11.8% Florida: 10.9% Hawaii: 10.9% Arizona: 10% The other end of the spectrum: Connecticut: 1.6% South Dakota: 1.9% New Jersey: 2.2% Why are so many DC home sellers willing to walk away at a loss?

Signal.
REPORT: PE-backed software companies are racing to extend debt maturities before AI catches up to them Private equity groups face a $40B 2028 maturity wall on Covid-era software buyouts and are paying up to push it out Roughly half the sector's leveraged loans are rated B- or lower The subscription revenue that made these deals financeable in 2020-2021 is exactly what lenders now doubt

So many things in this thread… so so many things…
Anthropic is so worthless man. If I can't tell a model 'fuck you' (a normal thing to say when the $200/m thing refuses a low-risk task) then we are not even remotely fucking close to AGI. "wait but the model has feewings and does better if you say 'I believe in you'!" -- I'm talking to a fucking computer. You are pond scum.

I’m in Canada right now. I remember when we were willing to fund a fast ferry between Toronto and Rochester. That was closer to right than where we are today. People here are cool. Only because Canadians are cool. We need to do many of the things we’re doing. This one, maybe not.
