France right now: A school principal is doused with petrol. Schools and vehicles are burning, police officers and firefighters are being attacked, and even hydrochloric acid is being used during the riots.

It happened in Terrassa, near Barcelona. The suspects opened fire as officers moved in to arrest them. One officer was also struck with a katana sword.
