Seems like Half-Life X (long rumored to be Half Life 3) has just been accidentally confirmed by a Valve employee during a game dev talk.
Pretty wild to think we may see HL3 for real, in the near future.

Sony is getting absolutely hammered over its stance on game ownership.

DLSS 5 is an insult to every video game artist. Not a single artist on my team isn't disgusted by what we're seeing. Players are excited because it's new and looks visualy impressive, but this really kills art direction in the process.
It's not just about textures, it's about every artistic aspect of a video game, because this affects a lot more than just skin textures. You go from "wow, The Last of Us has an aura" to "wow, The Last of Us looks like everything else everywhere."
Right now, there's no intent. This doesn't improve anything, it kills the original vision.
I'm not against cool new tech if it respects the artists and their work. This doesn't.
