Leclerc caught impersonating an Italian without a valid residence permit. Identity fraud exposed by the national anthem. #leclercfiles
You'd think Leclerc committed some kind of war crime when he's just racing in a sealed championship. If this were ANY other two drivers - or did NOT involve Hamilton - it would have been over then and there and people would realise BOTH were at "fault". Fucking ridiculous.
This. Again yesterday, he was extremely lucid, fair and accepted responsibility for HIS actions.
This whole media shitstorm (via Lewis feat. British Media!) has been going on for a while, but this is Leclerc's strength. Ask him again what he has to learn from Hamilton, go on.

Monday thoughts:
There's no scenario in which Ferrari can reasonably ask their drivers to stop racing each other, nor is there a championship at stake that would justify it. So, frankly, I don't see why they should. This is a problem of their own making.
Ferrari can't afford to rein in their drivers or punish them for racing each other. They need them hungry, especially if a championship is on the line. But they also can't have Lewis running his mouth in the media and appointing himself team principal over Vasseur.
This is not how someone who cares about the team talks. It’s not how someone with actual racing integrity would frame a teammate fight, either. Incredibly disrespectful to everyone in there and to Charles.
Get this diva out of the team and solve 50% of Ferrari’s issues.
Lewis : « Before I joined this team, when I was in Mercedes, I watched and witnessed the back-and-forth between Charles and Carlos. Several races where they were battling so much that the person ahead just pulled away, and they had the pace to actually win the race.
It’s one thing when that's happening in fourth and fifth as opposed to first and second, and you lose the win. That's significant. The guy is 28 years old, so I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's a mentality thing. It's like do or die. Like, either I win, or none of us do, and it shouldn't be that. It should be, us having got that one-two, which is still a good feeling.
At Silverstone, I could have gone all kamikaze on him and taken him off and lost us the the win, but instead a one-two was there, and I think we got a one-two, or was it a one-three? I'm happy for the team to have experienced that. I'm hopeful we'll work towards a better place in the future. »

Quick thoughts on post-race statements from Ferrari:
Fred: don't boo him, he's right
Charles: too honest to humour his teammate's bullshit
Lewis: somehow everyone else is responsible for his race except the man behind the wheel
It's infinitely funny, actually.

now that I think about it, there's a morbid irony to be found in Italy's first F1 champion since Ascari (and also the likely reason they won't smell a World Cup knockout stage anytime soon) being crowned in the wake of their state religion of an F1 team having a meltdown
... has anyone actually seen Fred in the media pen? Genuinely asking because Sky Italia is a bit too busy being, well, extra Italian.
