I've just published Jason.Native - an extension to Jason that uses a technique I call "sprinkle of NIFS" to improve performance. It makes encoding JSON 1.5-8x faster.
I hope it's going to be a strong @spawnfest submission! #myelixirstatus

Livebook desktop doesn't require the person to have Elixir previously installed on their machine.
That can help, for example, to make it easier to teach/learn Elixir.
We hope you enjoy it! 😊

Details matter - and they get lost when you read abstract sets of generalized recommendations. I’d like to read/hear about everyday stories of people working together. 5/5

PSA: since openssl 3 is out you might get it when upgrading one of your brew packages. Erlang doesn't recognise it yet. To specify openssl 1.1 explicitly, do: $ KERL_CONFIGURE_OPTIONS="--with-ssl=$(brew --prefix [email protected])" asdf install erlang 24.1.4 #MyElixirStatus

I'd be interested to hear experiences of people/companies who made fundamental tech choices with energy consumption in mind (where the energy consumption is not tied to device constraints - that's a separate topic). 3/3

Everyone is speaking about JIT in OTP 24 and I am happy about the fact that we got global Logger metadata:
logger:update_primary_config(#{metadata => #{version => "1.2.3"}}).
And now the version will be present in all your log messages.
