Noble naseehah! A small addendum I’ll make to it is that I hope people take note of this serious warning with husbands too, and that includes our scholars & du’āt in their lectures! For example, it’s completely wrong for anyone, كائنًا من كان, to call it foolishness for a husband to “allow” his wife to call him by name, if the husband and wife agree to that dynamic between each other as something that is more likely to foster love & affection, and this is often the case! ‘Urf isn’t an excuse or conclusive basis either, as interpersonal dynamic between couples supersedes it in this matter. That one person finds it distasteful or many people don’t do it is completely irrelevant. Na’am. Baarakallaahu feena.
