another development :)
my samsung TV loads a region specific convolutional neural network (LogoCNN.bin, cnn.mapping) which tracks your usage in app.
like in youtube it's looking for videos you watch, ads you skip, progress in a video, etc.
so glad they're interested in me.

We are launching the Tesla Robotaxi safety report today.
Till date, Robotaxi has driven a total of 3.3 million miles autonomously, and has had zero injuries nor airbag deployments. If the same number of miles were to be manually driven, we should expect roughly 9 injuries to the occupants or other pedestrians and 4 airbag deployments on average.
We will continue to transparently share our progress with the public using this page.

"sophisticated recording device" - Something that every hardware nerd has and anyone can order from Amazon/Aliexpress. This might be the most less sophisticated recording device in a high stake case. Seed Studio is a popular HW vendor for anyone who is not familliar.
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

🚨BREAKING: I got the HeeHaw Shooting bodycam footage. This is the raw footage, as provided by prosecutors. Does this look justified to you?
People don't really understand how big of a gap between frontier models from OpenAI and Anthropic compared to OSS models. Public benchmarks are pretty much useless.

This man is a hero.
Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.
Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.
Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.
Indian. Israeli. Emirati.
Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪
We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
People who are making fun of OpenAI mishaps with live demo are the ones never done a live demo on a stage in their life. Live demos are hard, try doing it and you will see.

Introducing Contrastive Language Model (CLM): an ultra-fast System One Model trained with a contrastive learning objective that connects states and actions.
CLM-8B is pre-trained on internet-scale data and delivers up to 9× faster inference than Jev ⚡ while achieving comparable performance across computer-use, gaming, and tool-calling tasks.
With lightweight fine-tuning, CLM-8B sets a new SOTA on challenging agentic coding benchmarks, such as DeepSWE (81.6%) and Terminal-Bench 2.1 (87.6%). In contrast, Jev fails to serve as an effective verifier for these long-horizon tasks.
We also build an efficient training and serving infra for CLMs by disaggregating states and actions, allowing their embeddings to be cached and reused independently. This substantially reduces inference latency in settings where the state evolves continuously while the action set remains fixed.
Finally, we establish scaling laws for CLMs and show that the test contrastive loss decreases predictably as a power law in training compute, model size, and dataset size.

This is the biggest productivity boost we will ever see from AI assistants.
We heard you loud and clear. ChatGPT Voice can now:
- Use plugins like your email, calendar, and Slack.
- Be powered by GPT-6 Astra, Sol, and Luna.
- Be used in ChatGPT Work on web and mobile, so you can create docs, decks, sites, and spreadsheets or tackle complex tasks in the browser, just by talking.
Rolling out globally today in the latest version of the app.
PSA: FP8 is in most cases is lossless compared to BF16. FP4/NVFP4 is not that simple, the loss is meaningful and mainly it is not uniform across prompt lengths or task complexity.

US supply chains for electronics suck so much
AMD found a business opportunity in dumping US military chips for 1/4 of the cost in China.
US list price is $36k for this chip, with $4-5k to US companies at volume, but it's getting quoted $1k in China to crowdfunding campaigns
AMD needs to be investigated for treason. it's not just export violations, but it's literally selling military end use components to an adversary for less than your home country....
Pharma companies are also similarly treasonous
