I had spent months campaigning across Los Angeles, meeting residents, listening to their concerns, attending community events and talking about the kind of city I wanted to help build.
My campaign wasn't perfect, but I believed I had earned people's trust.
Then my opponent changed the entire race.
A few weeks before election day, information about my wife's past suddenly started appearing everywhere.
Before we met, she had worked as a sex worker when she was younger.
She had never hidden that part of her life from me.
I knew about it before I married her.
I also knew the person she had become since then.
She had walked away from that life years ago. She had built a career, supported our family, volunteered in our community and spent years trying to become a better person.
But none of that seemed to matter once my opponent decided to make her past the center of his campaign.
Advertisements appeared.
People started sharing old stories about her online.

I am thirty-one and straight. I have a fiancée waiting at home. None of that stopped what happened the night before the wedding.
The bachelor party was loud and full of whiskey. One of the guys brought a friend I had never met. He was openly gay, comfortable, and kept catching my eye across the room. Later, when most people had left, he sat next to me on the couch and said he could tell I was curious. I told him I was not. He just smiled and put his hand on my thigh.
I did not move it. When he leaned in, I kissed him back. It felt strange and sharp at the same time. He took me into the bedroom, locked the door, and went down on me until my còck was hard in his mouth. I still could not believe I was letting it happen. He turned around, bent over the bed, and told me to fûck him.

THE DAY I DISCOVERED MY TRUE SELF
I spent years trying to understand why I felt different from other guys.
I dated girls because I thought that was what everyone expected of me, but deep down, I knew I was hiding something.
Then I met Daniel. We became close friends, and for the first time, I felt understood without pretending to be someone else.
One evening, we sat together talking about our fears, dreams, and the things we had never told anyone.
When he gently held my hand, my heart raced. I realized I had feelings for him that went beyond friendship.
That night, we shared our first kiss, and later, when we both felt ready, we shared a private, intimate moment together.
It was my first experience with another man, and it helped me understand myself better.
For the first time, I stopped fighting my feelings. I was finally learning to accept who I was.

Alan Turing helped change the course of history, but his own country punished him for being gay.
His work as a mathematician and wartime codebreaker helped save lives. Yet in 1952, he was prosecuted for his relationship with another man and forced to undergo hormonal treatment.
He died in 1954, long before he could see how widely his work would be celebrated.
The injustice is difficult to ignore: the world benefited from his brilliance while the law treated his sexuality as a crime.
How many brilliant lives have been damaged simply because society couldn't accept who they loved?
His story deserves to be remembered. 🏳️🌈

I can't see a thing, been blind since birth. People ask how I know I'm in love. I don't need to see him to feel it his laugh, his hand in mine on our Brooklyn walks, his fries he always shares. Love I can feel 🏳️🌈

Not trying to fit in anymore. Just me laughing too loud, loving openly, holding his hand in Brooklyn. It feels sweet to finally be myself, free, soft, and proud. If love is this, I want it every day always 🏳️🌈

A moment that shows love can exist even in places where people least expect it. Sometimes, the heart follows a path that challenges tradition, but genuine feelings deserve to be understood, not judged. ❤️🏳️🌈

I honestly don't know if I am overthinking this.
My wife's birthday was last week, and she came home from church with a gift that immediately caught my attention.
It was an expensive designer bag worth about $6,000.
I asked her who gave it to her.
She smiled and said, “My pastor.”
I laughed because I thought she was joking.
She wasn't.
Apparently, he had decided to surprise her with it as a birthday gift.
Now, I understand that pastors can be close to members of their church, and I know some people give expensive gifts to people they appreciate.
But $6,000?
That's a lot of money for someone to spend on another man's wife.
What makes me even more uncomfortable is the way my wife talks to this man.
She calls him “Daddy.”

“And I want us to be together. I don’t want to be a fuck-up anymore.”
God’s Own Country (2017) really is a special film. There are queer films you watch and enjoy, and then there are those rare ones that find a way to reach into your chest, make themselves comfortable, and remind you why you fell in love with queer cinema in the first place. This is one of those films for me.
I wasn’t feeling particularly well this afternoon, so I decided to revisit a film that I knew would give me exactly what I needed. And honestly, there’s something about returning to God’s Own Country that makes it feel just as intimate, tender, and emotionally devastating as the first time. It’s a film about loneliness, emotional repression, and the frightening vulnerability of allowing another person to see you as you really are. But, more importantly, it’s about discovering that you might be worthy of love even when you’ve spent years convincing yourself otherwise.
The scene where Gheorghe first confronts Johnny is exquisite. There’s something so quietly powerful about the way Gheorghe sees through Johnny’s hostility and self-destructive behaviour without simply accepting it. He recognises the person underneath all that anger, frustration, and emotional avoidance. Johnny might be accustomed to pushing people away, but Gheorghe refuses to mistake his defensiveness for the entirety of who he is. There’s a beautiful distinction between someone who merely desires you and someone who genuinely sees you, and this film understands that distinction so well.
And then there’s the intimacy. The mud scene, the hand licking, the teasing, the lingering touches, the awkwardness, the tenderness, and all those little moments when physical closeness becomes a language of its own. The chemistry between Josh O’Connor and Alec Secareanu is extraordinary, but what makes their relationship so compelling is that the physical attraction never feels disconnected from the emotional story. Their bodies might draw them together initially, but it’s the gradual discovery of trust, affection, and vulnerability that makes you want them to find their way to each other.
Sometimes, queer cinema gives us heartbreak, sometimes it gives us longing, and sometimes it gives us the rare, beautiful experience of watching a man realise that he doesn’t have to remain the worst version of himself forever.

When our company lost its biggest client, the director called an emergency meeting.
The business was in trouble, and someone needed to lead the recovery.
Everyone expected Marcus, our most experienced employee, to step up.
Instead, he handed the director his resignation letter.
The room fell silent.
Director: “You’re leaving when we need you most?”
Marcus: “I needed you three years ago.”
Nobody said a word.
Marcus explained that he had repeatedly warned management about the problems driving customers away. Each time, they ignored his reports and told him to focus on his own department.
