Ghana has won gold at the 46th World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Our women’s team finished top of rating category D, and seven Ghanaian players earned international titles.

Today, @promotingqueens turns 3.
And in these 3 years, we have sat across a chessboard with 1,500 girls and women. We have watched them walk in unsure and walk out knowing something new about themselves. We did this with zero grants. No funding. Just people who believed this had to exist.
I am so proud. 🥹 And I am so grateful.🙏🙏🙏

What’s the most painful loss you’ve ever had in an OTB chess game?
I once played an entire game thinking I’d get an extra 30 minutes after move 30… turns out the increment kicks in after move 40 instead 🤣
Instead of dwelling on the negatives, focus on the positives, because hardships are bound to happen. That much is beyond your control. But you do become what you allow access into your mind and life.
