Two years ago, Promoting Queens was just a dream.
Today, we’ve reached 500+ girls across Africa — teaching them more than chess.
We’re building confidence, courage, and queens who dare to lead.
From Nigeria to Kenya, the movement is growing.
And we’re just getting started. ♟👑

Mercy came visiting her school, have a game with the library prefect and showed forth no mercy. I'm happy to see she still engages with the beautiful game of art. @promotingqueens @chessqueen @thegiftofchess @Chesstoschool

Our olympiad experience exceeded our expectations. Skye became a WFM on board 1, Kate became a WCM on board 4, & I had the immense pleasure of being the team's captain. Huge thanks to @ChessbaseIndia for publishing an article about our adventure! #chess #chesspunks #womeninchess
Lebanon's women's team at the recent Olympiad had two sisters, Skye (11) and Kate (13) Attieh, with their father, Wael, as captain.

Another fantastic week with the girls at St. Mary’s Girls and Nakuru Chess Academy.
This week we worked on openings. The first moves shape the whole game, and how you start anything shapes where it ends up. These girls are fast learners, and their games already show it.
We’ll be back next week…💜💜💜

Our chess work in IDP camps connected us with @thegiftofchess, which introduced us to Mr. Daven Savoie, a Canadian who came to Nigeria and gifted us Arduino kits. Today, the NASENI Innovation Hub @Nasenihub gave young Nigerian Future Makers a platform to showcase their innovations, and Emmanuel Paul from the EYN IDP camp in Yola won out of more than 2,400 participants from across the country. 🥳
