BREAKING: Federal judge Kathleen Cardone, a Bush appointee, denies DHS request to allow Big Bend border wall construction to resume, citing the irreparable harm suffered if the project is allowed to continue.
DHS requested Judge Cardone lift the injunction, largely putting forth the same arguments that she had already rejected. DHS has indicated intentions to petition the Supreme Court to take this case, but even if they do, the outcome is not a given. The main argument we've used in our case--the Major Questions Doctrine--has been historically favored by conservative justices, some of whom are currently on the court.

it's been a week since Trump began targeting Ilhan Omar and, unlike the raid on Bolton last year which saw condemnations from NYT, WaPo, WSJ on Day 1, theres been zero editorials in these outlets condemning it. It also went totally unmentioned on all four Sunday shows yesterday.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX is ravenously taking over some of Texas’ most beloved public lands. New reporting from @Forrest4Trees reveals the company’s complete disregard for Boca Chica State Park: they want to privatize the entire park. Like the attempted transfer of Yosemite land to a private equity firm, this is another assault on protected public lands that could be lost forever just to enrich billionaires.
If she were Palestinian, this would barely make the news. Even if she’d been killed.

Israeli settlers and soldiers have been lynching Palestinians, burning them alive, torching mosques, destroying olive groves, stealing Palestinian land and emptying entire cities in the West Bank for decades. But it’s only “breaking news” when an American journalist is attacked.

He saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists.
He and many other Palestinians who bravely risked their lives, defending their land.
Hey @the_andrey_x what was a masked Palestinian with a slingshot doing among you in that innocent "olive harvesting" at 1:29?

Sally Rooney's books can no longer be sold in Britain due to her support for Palestine Action.
She refused to withdraw her support for the direct action group which targeted the Israeli arms industry, costing her the royalties from all of her UK sales.

If you shut things down, if the city or country all at once erupts in a mobilization that inconveniences people, and makes it impossible for governance to work, then demands are live and they make undeniable exactions.
If it's just a passionate suggestion, nothing happens.

John Kenneth Galbraith observed, “People of privilege will always risk their complete destruction rather than surrender any material part of their advantage.” This is the quandary we find ourselves in . . .
