Tested it myself at a petrol pump in PKL with the ethanol kit.

Govt's oil companies IOC, BPCL and HPCL reject Karnataka Govt's report about 31.2 % ethanol found in E20 petrol.
1. The oil companies have questioned 'testing methodology'.
2. They have also questioned the 'sampling methodology'
What they haven't revealed:
The state govt sent them the same samples first, which the oil companies tested but did NOT reveal ethanol percentage.
This is why the Karnataka Govt sent the samples to independent labs.
Both Shell and Nayara have not disputed the higher ethanol percentage claims.

The modus operandi of several right wing influencers on X.
Manufacture a controversy around a public figure, then offer a paid PR campaign to defend them.
If they agree to pay, start posting in their favour. If they refuse, intensify the attacks until they feel compelled to negotiate.
Negative ho ya positive, PR ka kaam inhi ko milna chahiye. Either way, they stand to profit.
The trick is to create the very crisis they later offer to “manage.”
Recent example is attack and defence of Maharashtra CM's wife Amruta Fadnavis.
Take Bollywood for example: A movie/song trailer drops, these right wing influencers unleash a barrage of negative publicity, and the people behind the film panic. The same influencers attacking the film then become the people approached to promote it.
From outrage to endorsement. All it takes is a PR deal.
People who are unaware of this think it's a spontaneous outrage. What they don't know is the businessbehind it.

नतीजा देखिए
- 14 में से 11 सैंपल में 20% से ज़्यादा एथेनॉल
- IOCL में 31.2%, HPCL में 30.5%
- IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, Nayara, Shell - सरकारी हों या प्राइवेट - सब सीमा से ऊपर
- और कंपनियों की अपनी लैब ने एथेनॉल की मात्रा रिपोर्ट में लिखी ही नहीं
मतलब आप पैसा महंगे पेट्रोल का दे रहे हैं, टंकी में एथेनॉल भरा जा रहा है। नुकसान किसका? आपका।
आपकी गाड़ी इतना एथेनॉल पचाने के लिए बनी ही नहीं - मतलब, घटता माइलेज, बार-बार मैकेनिक। शौक से ली गई गाड़ी की बर्बादी।
और पंप पर लिखा तक नहीं कि टंकी में क्या डाला जा रहा है - चुनने का कोई विकल्प नहीं।
मोदी जी, बताइए - देश की टंकी में क्या भरा जा रहा है? पेट्रोल में असल में कितना एथेनॉल है? 20% से ज़्यादा मिलावट करने वाली कंपनियों पर कार्रवाई कब होगी?
और डिबेट की चुनौती अब भी खड़ी है। ये मुद्दा भी जोड़ लेंगे - आपकी नीतियों से असल में फ़ायदा किसे हो रहा है?

Reports suggest that this fraud-ridden operation by @IndianOilcl allegedly involved mixing more than 30% ethanol in petrol in Karnataka, despite the prescribed limit being 20%.
The government has reportedly ordered an investigation. Consumers deserve answers, not excuses! Who authorised this blatant violation? Who is accountable for potentially compromising fuel quality and consumer interests?
Stop playing with people's money, vehicles and trust. Fix accountability and punish those responsible!

Here are the results of test samples done by Karnataka Govt Minister @ArshadRizwan on from various petrol pumps across Karnataka to check the percentage of Ethanol.
Looks like PR agency should reach out to more Insta influencers to run a campaign explaining the benifits of using E-30.

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs of Karnataka @ArshadRizwan alleges that tests on petrol samples from seven Karnataka districts found ethanol levels above 20%, with IOCL and HPCL samples recording 31.2% and 30.5%. Calling it a breach of public trust, he has demanded action against oil companies, an E20 compensation fund for consumers affected by reduced mileage and vehicle damage and mandatory disclosure of ethanol content at petrol pumps.

IOC had a whopping 31 % ethanol. Shell had over 25 %.
This is BLATANT cheating!
1. We're not only paying more for inferior fuel but also getting lower mileage.

A few months back Nitin Gadkari ji had released a video to debunk Rizwan Arshad's claims on Ethanol. He copied the ethanol policy standards from the US and UK but forgot to copy the part where you test whether the fuel actually meets those standards. 🙃

#WATCH | Bengaluru, Karnataka: On the testing of fuel samples for high ethanol-blended petrol, Karnataka Minister Rizwan Arshad says, "We collected 63 samples from across the state, from various locations in every district, and from all the major companies... If we are only beginning to manufacture E20-compliant vehicles after 2023, what proportion of the total vehicle population does this represent? It is a very small fraction; only a tiny percentage of vehicles are E20-compliant. If the ethanol blend exceeds E20, even these E20-compliant vehicles will face problems. In fact, 99% of vehicles cannot handle any fuel with an ethanol concentration higher than E20. Furthermore, the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) is the authorised body responsible for certifying any new vehicle, engine, technology, or fuel introduced in the country. That is all well and good, but for the average vehicle, the fuel-system components such as rubber parts, hoses, gaskets, seals, and O-rings will all begin to deteriorate."

Is this a massive nationwide fuel scam? @IndianOilcl, @HPCL and @BPCLimited must answer for allegations of blending more than 20% ethanol in petrol in Karnataka, potentially across other states too. If proven, this is outright cheating of millions of consumers and a serious breach of public trust. Who authorised this, who is benefiting, and who will be held accountable? This could turn into one of the biggest fuel scandals in India's history!
