You may have already heard, but the core SQLite team is working on Vec1 — native vector search (ANN) in SQLite.
It supports Euclidean (L2) and cosine distances, and uses SIMD for fast vector operations.
Vec1 is already feature-complete. The only things left are improving test coverage and making some optimizations.

IT WORKS!!!!!!! ogygia-nine.vercel.app/
Only thing left: Implement lakes now
islands -> Lakes -> island -> lakes
all by controlling `with { hydrate: true }`, with server islands working simply using `{ defer: true }`. Latter literally keeps a hole in rendered HTML which is fetched on client.
ALL in Sveltekit, no need to switch framework. Gosh Im so excited to launch this!!

I left my £100k/yr job. I want a £30k/yr job. Hire me. You'll struggle to find a better interface designer at that salary.
Only two conditions: 3 days a week and fully remote.
As long as this post is pinned, I'm still looking.

It's been an absolute pleasure having worked with Igor over the last year on LiveStore.
He contributed some major improvements and features to LiveStore including a performance benchmark suite, new multi-store React API, syncing fixes etc.
Great opportunity to work with him!
I've been all-in on open-source for the past year, working as a core contributor to @livestoredev
I love the work, but my runway has run out. So here I am😄
I'm currently available for contract work.
Know anyone who's hiring? A quick intro or tag would mean a lot 🙏

Just released heerich.js, a tiny voxel engine that renders 3D scenes to SVG 🎨
╬ Boolean ops
◮ Oblique & perspective
𝑥 Zero dependencies
◌ Pure vector output, infinite scaling
Named after Erwin Heerich's geometric cardboard sculptures.

We had to create our virtual file system in @nuxt_js and @nitrojsdev for years (unstorage)
This is amazing news, congrats to the team for shipping native VFS in @nodejs 🙌
.@nodejs has always been about I/O. Streams, buffers, sockets, files. But there's a gap that has bugged me for years: you can't virtualize the filesystem.
You can't import a module that only exists in memory. You can't bundle assets into a Single Executable without patching half the standard library.
That changes now 👇

Open-sourced ‘AnchorPop’. It's a tiny Svelte library for self-positioning popovers with native CSS 🪄 and real arrows. ←↑↓→

I'm looking for opportunities! Full-time/part-time remote roles.
Actions speak hella louder than words, so allow me to show you all the work I have done in the last 4 years as a professional developer

I see people in tech complaining about estimations all of the time. Understandably so. Estimations don't work and mean next to nothing. These two images (one from @dave_stewart and one from @basecamp) beautifully capture the true reality of understanding work 🧵

It’s simple and that’s a great thing. It doesn’t have a bazillion features. It does one thing and it does it well. As I think every product should.
