That felt REALLY good. It was very nice to have a few moments of shared earnestness. Sometimes we need to just get cheesy. Now, let’s do this.

Here is the latest episode of The Horror Squad Pod! This week we reviewed an amazing film called The Dark and the Wicked. Genuinely the scariest film I’ve seen this year. We were also joined by one of the producers @abiddledc for an interview, who was just awesome to talk to!
Our new episode is now available!!! Find us on iTunes,Spotify,Stitcher or wherever you podcast. A special thanks to Producer @abiddledc for joining us on this weeks episode

We called @TDATWfilm our #1 movie of 2020 awhile back & now tweets have been backing that up...
“One of the best horror films ever made”
“the most unsettling film I've seen in a while”
“THE DARK AND THE WICKED, the greatest horror film of 2020”
“Best horror movie of the year.” – at Miami, FL
Thanks Dan!!! Appreciate the shout out!
Just finished @TDATWfilm and now I'm probably gonna have trouble sleeping tonight. SO tense and very well done @abiddledc!

A truly scary meditation on grief, mortality and anguish, THE DARK AND THE WICKED is Bryan Bertino reminding the horror world that he can still go with the best of them. It also feels very much like a film made as a response to the post-HEREDITARY reality of "elevated horror."

The Dark and the Wicked by Bryan Bertino is seriously sinister.
I did not shift position over the entire film.
Highly recommend

Viewing No. 2 of THE DARK AND THE WICKED has confirmed for me that it is one of my favorite movies of the year. And easily the best (and scariest) horror film of 2020.

I watched The Dark And The Wicked last night and loved it. Highly recommend. Would make a great triple feature alongside The Witch and Hereditary. Directed by Bryan Bertino, who also directed one of my all-time favorite horror films, The Strangers.
