Many years ago, I wrote and published a book in Brazil called "What Brazil might learn from Poland - Lessons to rebuild a country."
It sold close to 200 units during the first months, but then it slowed down and kinda of fell into oblivion, selling one unit once in a while.
Then, today, it had more sales than in the last two years combined, and I was like, "What is happening?"
Then, a friend told me that National Congressman (and member of the Brazilian Imperial family) Luiz Philippe de Orléans e Bragança (@lpbragancabr) mentioned and shared my book on his Instagram page.
What a good surprise.
Not really.
At the beginning, the Paraguayan army was BIGGER than the Brazilian, Argentinian and Uruguayan armis together.
Before the war, Solano Lopez prepared the army to go to war against its neighbours for years.
And at the first two years of the war, Paraguay steamrolled over Argentina and Brazil.

Brazilian supreme court made MANDATORY for children (ALL children, both in public and private schools) to attend classes that teach how HOMOSSEXUALISM is ok and should be respect.

I can predict a scene:
1 - Old Lady/Desperate child/Afraid woman says "Sir, I need your help! They kidnapped my Daughter/Husband/Father"
2 - Jason Statham says "But I am just a [Random profession like carpenter or plumber]. Why do you think I can help you?"
This FrenchPole makes some good tweets, but this one was horrible.
This is like saying:
"What is the point of starting a business if it might go bankrupt?"
"What is the point of falling in love if you might be cheated?"
"What is the point of living if you will die?"
Life is full of risk.
EMBRACE IT, because risk makes life a wonderful adventure.

Joan lives about ten minutes away from the nearest Catholic Church.
One Wednesday evening, she wanted to attend Mass and receive the Holy Eucharist. She was in a state of grace and was coming straight from work.
Unfortunately, because of the usual hustling and bustling of the megacity where she lives, she got caught up in very serious traffic. It took her roughly 30 minutes to get through the traffic.
By the time she finally arrived at the church, the Mass, which was supposed to start at 6 p.m., was already about 20 minutes into the celebration.
She entered the church at the point where the priest said, "Let us offer each other the sign of peace."
She stayed for the rest of the Mass, and when it was time to receive the Holy Eucharist, she began to wonder:
Should she step forward and receive Holy Communion, or should she refrain from receiving because she arrived late?
Catholics, what do you think? Should Joan receive the Holy Eucharist or not? Let's hear your answers.
Moi polscy przyjaciele, widzę, że wielu z was mówi:
"Po próbie zamachu stanu Tusk przegra w przyszłorocznych wyborach miażdżącą większością głosów!”.
Myślę, że wszyscy popełniacie ten sam błąd, który widziałem u wielu Brazylijczyków: zbyt mocno wierzycie w uczciwość i sprawiedliwość procesu wyborczego.
Chociaż NIE wierzę, że wyniki wyborów w Polsce można sfałszować, tak jak w Brazylii (w końcu Polacy głosują na papierze, a nie na komputerach Smartmatic), rząd może wykorzystać wiele narzędzi.
Na przykład po prostu przesunąć lub odwołać wybory z powodu stanu wyjątkowego lub stanu wojennego.
Czy przesadzam?
Fun fact: During my entire childhood in 🇧🇷, leftist teachers told us that it was wrong to have pine trees as Christmas trees because we are a warm country.

And no, this is not just about Trick or Treat in the 🇺🇸.
It is about much more.
In my street in 🇵🇱 there were just 2 families with 1 child each (mine and another one).
Unfortunately the other family lost their child.
The pre-schools are closing.
The playgrounds are empty.
Most of the churches are quiet and grey-haired (except our Portuguese-speaking Catholic community in Warsaw that is 40% children).
Trick or treating was depressing this year. Our kids have really been robbed of our best traditions. Every other house was dark or they left a bowl of candy at the end of the driveway. There are maybe three families with young kids, tops, in our neighborhood… so the non- trick or treaters (99.9% boomers) would have to answer the door like, three times all night. Why can’t they can’t engage? Give back to this generation what the previous generation gave to their kids? Say hello to their neighbors, compliment the kids on the costumes they are so proud to show off? My daughter walked around a dark neighborhood in a sweet little angel costume doing nothing but taking candy out of abandoned bowls. It was grim and I’m actually kind of angry.
And on the mood of the weekend, we partook in the 🇺🇸 celebrations.
