皆様にお伝えしたいことがあり、ここにお知らせいたします。 ◾️STEVE IGNORANTからの声明 Steve Ignorant Bandは、2027年5月19日に東京のChelsea Hotelで予定していた公演を中止することを決定しました。 数日前、Chelsea Hotelを運営する株式会社LD&KのCEOが、X上に人種差別的な発言を投稿していたことを知りました。 会場を予約した時点では、More Tea Vicar?をはじめとするすべての関係者も、私たちも、これらの発言や、そこで表明された見解について知りませんでした。 私たちは、このCEOによる発言や、そこで表明された見解を容認することはできません。そのため、Chelsea Hotelでの公演を中止することを決定しました。 私たちは、これらの発言に直接関与していないChelsea Hotelのスタッフもまた、困難な立場に置かれているに違いないと認識しています。このような結果に至ることとなった今回の状況について、私たちは深く申し訳なく思っています。 More Tea Vicar?をはじめとするすべての関係者と私たちは、CRASSの音楽を日本に届け、このツアーを実現させるために、1年以上にわたって懸命に取り組んできました。このツアーを実現させるという私たちの決意と意志は、今も変わりません。 今後、東京で代わりとなる会場を探し、新しい会場が確定次第、できる限り早く皆さんにお知らせします。 私たちのトークイベントやライブは、誰もが歓迎され、敬意をもって扱われ、差別やハラスメントを恐れることなく参加できる場でなければなりません。 これは、私たちが決して妥協することのない原則です。 Steve Ignorant ＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿ ◾️Statement from Steve Ignorant The Steve Ignorant Band has made the decision to cancel its scheduled performance at Chelsea Hotel in Tokyo on 19 May 2027. A few days ago, we became aware that the CEO of LD&K Corporation, which operates Chelsea Hotel, had posted racist remarks on X. At the time the venue was booked, neither More Tea Vicar? and all other parties involved, nor us, were aware of these remarks or the views expressed. We cannot condone the remarks or the views expressed by this CEO. For this reason, we have decided to cancel the performance at Chelsea Hotel. We recognise that the staff working at Chelsea Hotel, who have no direct involvement in these remarks, must also find themselves in a difficult position. We are deeply sorry that the situation has led to this outcome. More Tea Vicar? and all other parties involved, together with us, have worked tirelessly for over a year to bring Crass’s music to Japan and make this tour a reality. Our commitment and determination to make this happen remain unchanged. We will now seek an alternative venue in Tokyo and will inform everyone as soon as possible once a new venue has been confirmed. Our talks and gigs must be spaces where everyone is welcome, treated with respect, and able to participate without fear of discrimination or harassment.
