BREAKING: The plea hearing for Troy McAlister is at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wed. Oct. 14) and @SFDAOffice just reached out to Mrs. Abe at 2 a.m. Japan time asking for a Zoom that requires a translator. Nearly a week ago Mrs. Abe sent questions to be answered by email. The judge should postpone the hearing until Mrs. Abe gets the explanation she asked for.

As of late September, SFUSD is using restorative practices and meeting with the families plus the NAACP. No public details released on any specific punishments or disciplinary outcomes for those involved. Chinese parents told KTSF the special-ed student was attacked over an unverified social media rumor and demanded expulsions of the attackers. NAACP focused on the alleged slur and prior incidents.
When anti Asian racists tell us to go back to China, it’s funny because they act like China is a 3rd world country with terrible living conditions.

The Blazers have released a statement saying that they have fired freshly hired TV pxp announcer Braiden Bell after racist and misogynistic tweets from his past have resurfaced, including a tweet that said:

Asian elder attacked from behind in San Francisco Chinatown
I've been taking care of my mom. She's been experiencing increased pain.
My mom was pushed from behind by a complete stranger on Grant Ave in Chinatown on Saturday, in broad daylight. She did not know the person and did absolutely nothing to provoke this attack. The attacker ran away while she was lying on the ground.
Thank you to the many Good Samaritans who stopped to help my mom and helped her get back up. We are very grateful for your kindness and compassion.
She filed a police report and sought medical attention. It's incredibly upsetting and unacceptable. No senior, or anyone, deserves to be randomly attacked by a stranger for walking down the street.
Please be careful and look out for one another, especially our seniors. Stay safe, everyone. 🙏
Asian man dies in a San Francisco boating accident
A man who died in a fishing boat accident beneath the Golden Gate Bridge last week has been identified as a father and employee of one of the Bay Area’s biggest tech names.
Thirty-five-year-old Daniel Zhengyu Qin of San Jose was one of three people aboard a 25-foot vessel that struck rocks on the Marin County side of the bridge last Thursday morning.
According to the fundraiser set up on behalf of Qin’s family, he leaves behind a wife, an 11-year-old son, and two young daughters, aged 9 and 3.
