printing this out and sticking on my wall
I sometimes help early stage @YCombinator founders with fundraising advice. They often send me two drafts of an email with tiny differences in wording, asking which is better. My advise is almost always the same: It doesn’t matter. Then I try explain some version of the diagram below. In a fundraising process, you are mainly tying to quickly identify which of the below buckets investors are in. It’s a much better use of time filtering more investors to find the right hand bucket, than agonizing over the middle bucket for hours.

What if you could go through any scientific document like this? Pinching in/out = longer/shorter explanation Swiping left/right = easier/more technical explanation I currently keep yelling “explain simpler, shorter, etc.” to AI when studying

i will be referring back to this for years great post
Almost no one understands the radical time scarcity of early stage founders. Here is the math on how spending a couple days on the wrong thing can trigger weeks of treading water to stay afloat: blog.scottstevenson.net/p/th…

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: hackertube.org/ - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing. Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

most startups don’t make money many won’t make money we CANT make money how’s that for a moat?
Today we're launching Dollars 💰 Most AI startups spend so much time and effort building an AI product with negative gross margins. We skipped straight to the end. We sell US dollar bills for $0.80. TAM: $1T+ in circulation. We’re going after all of it. Let’s scale to the moon together. dollars for less dot com

1/4 Meet Qwenputer: Qwen3.5-4B with a full RISC-V CPU inside its weights, using the model's own Gated DeltaNet layers as RAM. It runs C and MicroPython in its forward passes, no external runtime. On DeepMind math: base 55–90%, base + Python tool 95–100%, Qwenputer 97.5–100%.

super fun! first time i had a single threaded group conversation that went so many interesting places, thanks @jheitzeb for organising and gathering such an amazing group
Hosted an AI Tinkerers founders dinner in SF tonight. Agent swarms optimizing GPU kernels, robots learning new tasks, rings controlling agents, and lots of picking apart agent security. Friends from Boston, Seattle, Poland and Tokyo, now building companies in SF.

you pull out your phone to do one thing and end up doing something completely different. agents were supposed to fix that - now we juggle chats instead of apps. voice was supposed to fix that - now we walk around holding the phone up like a pizza slice. so we built guv, a walkie-talkie for your agents. hold the button, think out loud, it gets done. works with grok bot today. other personal agents and agents on your machine coming soon. have an apple watch? reply with the first thing you'd tell your agent for access.
We want our attention back. Launching guv.sh - a walkie-talkie to your agents. Hold the button, think out loud, it gets done. Reply with the first thing you'd say into it, we'll send you a testflight link.
