CEKA I RWANDA >>> Blog Post guest reviewing the elegant & intimate celebration of Rwanda's very own Cécile Kayirebwa 80 Years of Live/60 Years of Music cekaonlineshop.blogspot.com/…
February 2027! Who forced you to record this video today though? The world would have been ok with just a picture and an audio message. Or wait a couple of weeks for the "small" scars to heal properly.

Just to avoid any social media chatter: the plasters on my face are due to a small surgery earlier in the week.
Follow doctor’s orders and get your skin checked regularly!

Obviously that @HarianaVeras lady is on the presidential payroll, she seems contaminated by the PPS (Patrick Muyaya Syndrome) which consist of blaming Rwanda for everything to deflect from the country own deficiencies. Like Ebola under control but still need to fight it somehow

I am going to say this, and this will probably be my last take on this issue.
A minority group of privileged people has a problem with state guidance on decency. They turn it into a problem of the majority, take to social media claiming to speak for that majority, and then, when a loophole in implementation presents itself, demand that the entire country come to a standstill.
I am 100 percent sure the majority of Rwandans understood or agree with the President and the institutional guidance on decency.
Let me be clear again: the biggest issue facing the ordinary Rwandan woman today is not whether the dress she wants to wear is short or long, or whether the state is telling her how to wear it. For many women, the bigger question is whether they can afford that dress in the first place, while also feeding and taking care of their children.
Then you have another group, so privileged that they have so much to wear, whose biggest concern has become having the right to wear next to nothing.
This is the situation we have at hand.
You cannot convince me that a group whose biggest concerns in this conversation are how to dress and access BK Arena or public areas is speaking for the majority of Rwandan women. No.
I have also seen people saying, “I can't get out of the house.” That creates the impression that Rwanda is some kind of unsafe hell for women. It is not. In fact, if I were the Government, that is one of the things I would be concerned about.
Rwanda is a safe country for women. We know this.
But the recent social media outrage has made it sound as though women and girls are living in constant fear. It has also painted men broadly as abusers and harassers, which is simply not true.
The safety of a country cannot be measured by one or two incidents arising from implementation, particularly when those incidents have been addressed.
At the same time, let's not lose sight of the real problem. There are men who harass women on the streets because of how they are dressed. There are moto riders, fundis and other men who engage in harassment and abuse. They should be arrested. We should not tolerate that.
We need a society where women and girls can walk around freely and safely. We need quick and effective reporting mechanisms so that, for example, when a woman is harassed in Nyabugogo, she knows exactly where to report it and action can be taken against the perpetrator. Moto cooperatives need to take responsibility for their members. These are problems that can be tackled, and I believe they are being tackled.
But there are many pressing women's rights issues to fight for. Look around and you will find them.
How skimpy someone can dress in order to reveal a hidden tattoo at BK Arena is not one of them.
We are focusing our energy on the wrong priorities.
Wishing you nothing but peace. 🙏🏾✊🏿
Fashion check-point 😉
Replying to @bkarenarw
Dress code is fine, however after recent events, dress code popping everywhere, hotels, bars, concerts is just insane and create a malaise(in disguise girls are targeted) national regulation is needed, otherwise we are heading to fashion checkpoints everywhere

Dear national police, in all humility, thank you for acknowledging that a mistake was done. However, this is beyond individualism, accountability should not be about individual police officers, the entire institution should be held accountable. We trust that there’s a chain of command upon which these police officers are acting.
And this rises more than just one concern,
It is not just about policing people’s appearances over vague standards that the law doesn’t clearly define, it is also about the recklessness with which these issues are handled which doesn’t only affect individuals but also erodes public trust of the police that we have always believed in.
The other greater danger is creating a culture where subjective morality is allowed to masquerade as law enforcement. Today it may be a woman’s dress-code but tomorrow what else will an officer decide is unacceptable? We come from diverse backgrounds and see things differently. We can’t enforce a law based on people’s emotions and outlook on life. As responsible citizens, we believe that a country should uphold certain values but values are strongest when they are shared principles, all we are asking for is clarity of which the Rwandan penal code punishes what you call public indecency.
It's human nature, young people will care about issues they a) understand b) directly impact their way of life and their own emotional well being....they ll be vocal about wider issues beyond themselves only if they "understand" "overstand" & "innerstand" them ...
Replying to @TherealKwizera
Young people aren’t necessarily apathetic.Sometimes, people engage most with the issues they can see, feel and understand.
The challenge is 2 make the bigger issues just as understandable because they will ultimately shape the future too.🙏🏿
Short and selective memory @WilsonKwi Earlier in 2026, performances by international female artists were widely praised. Our government was proud of the media impact they generated. These expensive productions were institutionally funded and supported. Pls define public indecency
Replying to @JollyMutesi
Yes, rigid cultural expectations can sometimes be unrealistic, but we shouldn’t forget that public indecency, including nudity, is an offence. Everyone has the right to choose what they wear, but that freedom also comes with the responsibility to remain publicly decent and respectful of others.
Huh?😕🧐 Abruptly cut short shortly after 2am? Why was he still performing tho? Sounds like a time management issues from the production. Regulations are clear, schedule should even plan 45min to 1hour downtime, a 2hours performance shall start no later than 10pm or 10.30pm max!
Diamond Platnumz’s concert in Kigali was abruptly cut short shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday after authorities enforced Rwanda’s regulations requiring entertainment venues to close by the stipulated time.

True, last time I was in Sweden you could only find low alcohol % beers in regular outlets such as 7/11......for higher %, wines and spirits it's only available in licensed outlets managed by the State.
Replying to @RwandaFDA @RwandaHealth @RwandaOGS @RwandaTrade @RIB_Rw @Rwandapolice @rwandastandards @InspectorateRw @RBCRwanda @PSF_Rwanda
@RwandaFDA I think the best example of alcohol production and consumption can be found in Sweden. Alcohol is sold only by the state owned shops @systembolaget from 09:00 a.m to 07:00 p.m since 1949, to fight alcoholism in the so-called Vodka Belt around Baltic Sea
On the fence. Ok there is hope then....let me help you. Look up for Aphrodite Jones's The Michael Jackson Conspiracy, she put the media on check for all the lies, manipulative biased unethical reporting of the trial, long story short, the prosecution lost because they had nothing
