I’ve been honest about what I’ve spent on Vest.
When I say we were blindsided, I swear on my life. Every conversation we had lined up with what he was telling everyone.
This is for the guy who bet his balls that I knew.

A simple improvement for @VestExchange would be to recalculate the leaderboard so it isn’t based only on profits it should also factor in how much traders are actually spending/trading. Ranking by both profit and volume would give a fairer picture and better reflect real activity on the platform.

I’m convinced 95% of being a high performer is to just do 5 things:
- Be obsessed like a psychopath
- Have delusional optimism
- Avoid unserious people
- Take asymmetric risks
- Be relentless

We have a developing situation in Chicago @ChicagoBears game tonight.
One of the biggest regular season get in the door tickets on a gameday in @NFL history is happening right in front of us.
If you opted for pays to wait then get on the phone with your credit card company, call @Klarna or sell an asset because it’s going to cost you big wood to go tonight.

jim simons hired a researcher who suspected the fund was a scam. he spent a month secretly checking its prices against the wall street journal.
nick patterson arrived while medallion was enjoying its third straight year of returns above 33%.
the firm said it managed $100 million. its research operation was upstairs in an old house, and the computer model was making money in ways even its creators didn't fully understand.
patterson ended up squeezing a desk into a corner of simons' office.
"Mathematicians can be crooks, too," he said.
so he wrote down the closing prices used for the fund's positions and checked them against the newspaper, line by line.
the numbers checked out. only then did he turn his full attention to the research.

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.
