As we speak, write, tweet, sob: Israeli forces are committing another massacre in northern Gaza. People in Jabalyia are killed - both in groups, and one by one - amid unspeakable cruelty and sadism. By Israelis who have accepted to be "willing executioners" of a genocidal plan. With western-manifactured weapons and with western support.
It blows my mind to think that WE KNOW what Israel is doing and alltogether, we cannot stop it. Looking at where we were 100 years ago, no much progress has been achieved.

Sad news this morning. A mighty oak has fallen indeed. Andrew was the first to give tree advice here in the farm. We are deeply saddened by his passing

Walk ancient pathways and embark on a new era of storytelling with modern bardic storyteller @aindestaic. As Tommy Tiernan says, "the culture needs spirits like his."

Ryan Tubridy receiving hidden payments of taxpayers money contributing to a wage of €3.15M over 5 years, & this being known by Ryan and RTÉ before he got his royal send off on the Late Late Show, puts me in mind of this little ditty by Dundalk’s finest

shame on an award that cuts 'rising stars' off at any age.
40 is particularly bad. by that age some have had relatively trouble-free *decades* to establish successful careers, whereas others - through no fault of their own - are only just starting

Leo Varadkar says the Opposition needs to understand it takes time to build housing.
But we all understand that.
The question is how much time does he want?

Just heard the news that Keith Johnstone has passed. This book alone was transformative for generations of theatre makers and facilitators. What a legacy.

Vitamin D deficiency is associated with a 25% higher risk of premature death.
People with vitamin D deficiency also had higher death rates from cancer and particularly respiratory diseases.
Very relevant as ~30% of US population is vitamin D deficient (serum <20ng/ml).
