i've spent an unhealthy amount of time on agentic video editing, here's everything i learned:
video editing is 100% solved. we're pushing out hundreds of videos a day with agents and have replaced almost all of our editors
drop every limiting belief you have about agentic editing, any style of creative is possible
here are the best models for video editing right now:
1. GPT 6 Astra (best taste by far, but also the most expensive)
2. Opus 5.5
3. Gemini 4 Argon
the best all around model is Opus 5.5
and don't waste your time on editing app MCPs like CapCut or DaVinci Resolve. they're slow and burn a ton of tokens compared to a custom workflow built for your specific use case
all editing is moving to the terminal + organized file systems
the most valuable (and most time consuming) part is having your best editors train your harness so it learns from its mistakes and can one-shot creatives
your best editor becomes 100x more leveraged once you teach them how to use Opus 5.5 in their workflow and build skills around their process
in 6 months most teams will be 1 creative engineer managing everything with agents
what a time to be alive..
A few thoughts on agentic video editing I’ve had over the last few days:
1. 99% of ads should be edited agentically now. If your editors are still editing in the timeline, they’re falling behind. I got a message from my senior VE saying that he’s putting out 5x edits/day now at the same quality he was before.
2. The conversation with video editors will be uncomfortable because the timeline is all they’ve ever known. Some will be hesitant and some will be fearful for their job. I think the best way to address this is head on. The tech is inevitable, but having taste is still going to be incredibly valuable to train and give feedback to agents. Those who have this will become more valuable, those who don’t will struggle.
3. Opus 5.5 can natively edit all of your ads without needing any MCPs or plugins. I’ve tried the alternatives and couldn’t find anything that was significantly better than doing everything inside of Claude.
4. Have your senior editor(s) build skills for each style of edit (e.g. mashups, UGC, AI animations…). You can build these by feeding 4-5 inspo edits to Claude and tell it to make a skill out of it. I prefer building lots of mini-skills to one big video editing skill, so that the context stays as relevant as possible.
5. Once you have a base skill (e.g. ugly ads edits), the best way to train it is through feedback loops. Have the skill re-edit the last 25 ads each senior edited then put them in an artifact, and have the senior VE give feedback on each. Keep doing this until the skill is refined and it understands what a good edit is.
6. If you do this, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to make edits that need little/no feedback. Most of ours are approved after v1 or v2, sometimes v3.
7. Only A-player editors should be training the skills.
8. Re adoption in the team, the AI champion builds the v1. Then get out of the way. I’m not the best editor on my team, so my job is to build the harness that lets the best editors train the skills, not build the skills myself.
9. If you want to supercharge this process, have your top editors record their screen as they edit. Turn on Gmeet or loom and get them to narrate the reasoning behind their process. E.g. why they chose this cut, pacing or b-roll clip…this is all context that gets fed into your skills.
10. It takes time to build, train and refine these skills. You have to go through the dip to get out the other side. Budget time in for senior VEs to work on this - otherwise you’ll end up with skills that put out subpar edits and don’t save you much/any time.
11. Operate under the assumption that this is the worst video editing is ever going to be. Opus 5.5 can do most of our editing today…what will Opus 6/Fable 6 be able to do? The editing skills you build are only going to become more valuable as the tech evolves.
I still don’t think people realise how big video editing being unblocked is. Things that I thought were 3-6 months away are now on the table.
Will continue to share more as I learn. CRAZY, crazy times.
experimenting with a lil personal project: an AI-native macOS dock with custom modes (writing, building, etc.) to help me stay focused
my agent is able to customize mode behavior and add new modes, it uses jev to classify my activity + notifications in real time & act on them

Today we're introducing Claude for Ads.
Just enter your website and Fastlane finds every winning ad in your market, then makes thousands of better ones for your product in seconds.
It launches them, tracks every result, and keeps getting smarter.
This is truly insane.

Grok Bot could be the first team you build instead of hire
Six bots can run 200+ agents, hold their own 5 a.m. standup and hand you one board in the morning
In this article, I show you how
Lauren Tan just released a free 1-hour Grok Bot course on building an AI Team
From zero bots to 3,000 PRs a month on autopilot:
0% → 02:05 - Build your first bot that turns X bookmarks into live apps by morning
30% → 16:39 - Hire one bot per job, not one chat per task
45% → 22:46 - Teach a bot once and it keeps the skill forever
75% → 28:52 - Run your own company with a team of agents
100% → 38:25 - One orchestrator bot runs the whole AI Team while you sleep
Prompt → Bot → Skills → AI Team → Orchestrator → Company on Autopilot
Most people still open a new chat for every task
Worth more than any $1,000 AI agents course

Anthropic engineer:
"You're not supposed to prompt Opus 5.5
You're supposed to build a system that prompts itself. At Anthropic, 90% of our engineers have already built such systems"
In 30 minutes she shows exactly how Anthropic builds agents that remember, fix their own mistakes and get smarter with every run.
This beats any $1000-$2000 course on agents I've seen.
Watch it, then read the full guide for Opus 5.5 loop + jev engineering.
Your Claude loops can burn money while nothing changes

It’s a brave new world
Reasons to be bullish:
- 120 MILLION monthly active users
- roadmap 4.0 introduces new revenue
- buybacks to support the token incoming
Reasons to be bearish:
- only new revenue goes to buybacks
- so depends on new product adoption
- ???
Okay hear me out... $BAT (i know, i know)
-> privacy meta
-> users are up-only
-> new revenue models
-> price starting to show movement
-> roadmap 4.0 introduces buybacks
-> some old coins are kinda sorta coming back
-> becoming a neobank with 200k ppl on card waitlist

We were able to fine tune an open weight model (Qwen3.5-9B) on proprietary internal data at @coinbase, and it out performed frontier models, at much lower cost and speed, for a specialized task (fraud prevention in this case).
I think we'll see more of this pattern inside companies. The frontier models are amazing generalists. But increasingly you'll see specialist models out perform on more narrow tasks, either working on teams, or by themselves.
We're making it easy to fine tune models internally for our employees. We even have a skill for it in our internal harness that makes it easy to spin these up and start training them:
"/fine-tune-and-serve-llm I want to fine-tune Qwen for payments risk review. help me get started"
I imagine we'll have some backend services that could be replaced entirely by this new architecture.

Things that do not happen with @Brave Search.
All sponsored results and advertising customers and campaigns are run through human checks to make sure the customer is from the official entity of the brand represented in the placement.
All campaign creative and URLs are run through a series of pre-flight checks prior to deployment, and known targets for tracking and redirecting to 3rd party domains are prohibited by our policies.
User-first means protecting the users, and not taking money from obvious foul play.

Still waiting on more details but it appears that an authorized Ledger reseller named CryptoBilis that serves the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia has recently been serving up compromised devices.
Unclear if they were sending genuinely tampered-with devices or just inserting premade seed phrases into the box. We'll have to wait for victim testimonies to learn more.
For now be sure to always generate your own seed phrase. If a seed phrase is included in the device you've purchased or the device is already initialized and you're given a PIN to enter, alert the manufacturer and return the device. Ledger also allows you to run a genuine check, which provides cryptographic proof that the device has not been tampered with.
If you've bought from CryptoBilis (or to be safe, any third party retailer) in the past 90 days, firstly you should move your funds. Secondly, I'd love to hear from you.
Everybody else has nothing to worry about.
you now get Claude API credits with your MAX plans ($100, or 200 matching your plan) every month, use this to build more personal AI for yourself!

Steal this prompt. I run every X post through it now.
It uses X's open-source ranking, where copying your link is weighted 40x a like.
"Score my X post 1 to 10 using X's ranking weights: copy link 20, reply 5, quote 5, DM share 5, follow 4, repost 1, like 0.5. Tell me which actions it will earn. Then rewrite it to earn a share or a reply. My post: [paste]"
It took my Marc Lou post from 6/10 to 9.5/10 (27K views).

Ben Affleck reveals he writes Python, understands convolutional neural networks, worked extensively with GPUs, and used his celebrity status to get private looks at Google and OpenAI’s video models
“I’ve always been kind of into computers since I was young. Then, when film started to move from analog film to digital, I became more interested in that aspect of it. The visual-effects workflow for many years has included machine learning, so I can write pretty shitty Python scripts and stuff like that.
“With convolutional neural networks, which were the precursors to what the transformer can do, which is much more computation simultaneously, you would do things like look at what’s called a tensor. That’s the numerical translation of a visual image in numbers, like the batch number, the frame number and the red, green and blue values of each pixel in each frame. It’s just that simple. That numeric is called a tensor.
“You’d use a convolutional neural network to identify patterns that reveal what’s called edge detection or feature extraction, which is identifying patterns well enough to know, this is where the window ledge is, so we can more easily take the green-screen image out and replace it with something.
“That was familiar to me early on because, prior to Artists Equity, I had a small visual-effects company. I’ve worked with GPUs a lot too. The visual-effects guys said, ‘Hey, you should see. There are a couple: Google and this other company, OpenAI, are doing really interesting stuff with transformers in video.’
“I’ve learned that I can actually just call up and go, ‘Hey, it’s Ben Affleck. Can I come see what you’re doing?’ Sometimes people say yes, to my astonishment.”
$ANET Andy Bechtolsheim says AI has made optics demand about 10 times bigger in five years and the industry is only at the "very beginning"
"So I guess I don't need to tell you that AI has been driving this incredible increase in demand for high-speed optics, which is probably now 10 times bigger than it used to be five years ago..."
"And what I want to talk to you today is that we're not at the end of this journey, but rather the very beginning. There's easily another order of magnitude increase in bits needed for the next generation kind of data centers."
"So what I want to talk about first is what's happening at the data center level, and how we as an industry have to get together to solve these problems of this very rapid and high demand growth as fast as possible, since AI can't wait."
