The replies are very interesting.
All I see suggested there are stories (Market Wizards, Reminiscences, and the like) and trading psychology.
Imagine you want to learn to play golf, and they suggest you watch Bagger Vance and meditate.
If Apple could stop releasing completely useless products that I’ll be forced to buy because I’m a nerd trying to fill the void with tech purchases, that’d be great.

Remember that Jim Simons was in his 50s when he started the Medallion Fund.
So if you haven’t “made it” in trading yet, don’t worry.
As long as you’ve made fundamental, groundbreaking contributions to pure math and theoretical physics in your 30s and 40s, there’s still a chance for you!
Soros Fund Management launched when George Soros was 43. Julian Robertson didn’t start Tiger until he was 48. Jim Simons was 50 when he started the Medallion fund. By pretty much any measure, these three belong in the top 5 or 10 best hedge fund managers ever. Things to keep in mind if you haven’t hit your stride by ~30.

Odd that all these super wealthy anonymous trading gods are putting so much effort into selling signals and courses on social media. Especially those who "retired".
bitcoin:native 2nd leg of the move down, corrective, in an uptrend, bears screaming from joy exactly when they would have to look for a buy, the market never changes (luckily)
Just a small 50-100% a year, you guys
Thinking you can’t average 50-100% a year as a day trader because “warren buffet only averaged 20%” is low IQ
Retail traders are probably managing at most $1M to $5M in their personal trading account
Not billions
They can get in and out of positions quickly, and aren’t operating as a hedge fund that has stricter risk limits and can’t be as aggressive because they’re managing client capital
You can eat 20-30% drawdowns as a retail trader that would damage you so much more as a hedge fund manager
It’s not the same game at all
"Psychology" is often a term used to hide the fact that your trading system (and/or life) sucks.
I’ve made $3 million from trading in the last 6 years. Let me tell you - psychology is really not that important in trading. This is cope used by guys who have terrible strategies and go through big drawdowns. The best traders have losing days, losing weeks and maybe 1-2 losing months in a year - but majority of the time they’re green. It’s not about finding the “best strategy” - but learning so much about one strategy that you know it inside out and can reliably predict what the market will do in a specific circumstance. This comes from 1,000s of trades backtested and/or taken live and logged. Psychology barely plays a factor here since you already know exactly what you have to do to make money.
