Tallahassee promised tax relief. City halls must decide what stops getting funded.
State-projected annual losses in FY2028–29 equal 30% of Palm Bay’s FY2024 general fund, 25.7% of Davenport’s and 25% of Deltona’s.
Police and fire generally consume about half a city’s general fund. Protect them, and the shortfall falls entirely on the other half unless replacement revenue is raised. Against that budget baseline, those losses equal 60%, 51% and 50% of everything else: roads, drainage, parks, libraries and inspections.
Growth brings revenue, but also people who need services. Beginning in 2029, the exemption grows with inflation while service costs keep climbing. You cannot spend the same growth dollar twice: replacing lost revenue and serving new residents.
Raise fees, and residents pay another way. Cut services, and they feel it another way. The campaign promised savings. The budget will name the consequences.

To prove his point, here’s Hillsborough’s 24/25 report. Property taxes were 1.4B while Public Safety expenses were 1B. They are expected to lose just under 500M in year 1. And they are one of the better counties.

a whole lot of poor folks in florida thought they were going to get a tax break for something they don’t have - now, it’s going to end their cities, threaten emergency responder access, etc.

yup. miami dade alone will stand to lose nearly $700 million in two years. the cuts on the local level will be BRUTAL. but the people voted for it. you cant have low taxes and great services. well find that out soon.
Florida is going to become unlivable for young ppl. It’s gonna be a retirement community with theme parks. Reducing taxes this extremely basically reduces almost all basic services. Insurance costs will📈. Depending on the Federal Government 📈. This is a terrible idea.
This spewing of division is terrible. Calm down with this type of bs rhetoric. And learn English too bud.
Bibi @AAGDhillon ki hoya? Bar kard tha thanu? 🤣
In her resignation letter, Dhillon said that she told Susie Wiles that she intended to step down after the midterms.
Two sources familiar with the matter, however, told CBS that Mr. Trump demanded she be fired after he watched her on "60 Minutes" cbsnews.com/news/harmeet-dhi…

Leftists really went from saying "Talarico/Ossoff is a diet Republican and not progressive enough!" to "Talarico/Ossoff saw massive success because they ran on leftist platforms!" lmao it's like they hope everyone just has short term memory loss
