Reactionary IMC!
The visit to the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Works (BWTW) is to assess the situation, receive an update on the condition of the water treatment infrastructure and engage with relevant authorities on the measures being implemented to restore the safety and reliability of the water supply.

The problem is that you are reactive, not proactive! If you claim there latter, how did IMC ensure the concerns raised in the Sunday Times report were addressed/implemented by the City? And if IMC didn’t know about them, how come and why, and kanti what is its role in this MESS?
This morning, I will visit Bronkhorstspruit in the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng Province, following reports of gastrointestinal illness linked to the consumption of contaminated water in the area.
The visit forms part of the work of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on Water and Sanitation that I chair, which is coordinating government interventions to address water and sanitation challenges, strengthen accountability and accelerate responses to service delivery concerns affecting communities.

You sound (if you aren’t already) exactly like someone who’d tell Black South Africans to nominate for a senior role in the company/to a Board or vote as President an individual that called once (or more) referred to them (Blacks) as Kaffirs just because he’s not corrupt! 🙃
Replying to @AdHabb
6. I said before & I say again; JHB is dying. It’s being destroyed by its incompetent leadership. Replace them! Vote for Zille. Her race should not matter. Her age should not matter. Her label for the atrocities in Gaza is not the priority. The sole issue is can she deliver?
I’ve NEVER in my life seen Deputy Editor always on TV, almost weekly, behaving like he wrote the stories he published and speaking to/about them.

#sapsHQ [SAPS NATIONAL MARATHON ASSOCIATION MOURNS THE TRAGIC DEATHS OF TWO POLICE RUNNERS]
The South African Police Service (SAPS) National Marathon Association is devastated by the tragic deaths of two #SAPS runners, Constable Zenzile Ntuli and CAC Vusi Skosana, who lost their lives in a horrific car accident on Saturday, 24 October 2026.
SAPS athletes had taken to the streets of Pretoria to participate in the Jacaranda Marathon. However, while travelling back home, three people, including two SAPS members, were involved in a fatal head-on collision with a truck on the R573 Moloto Road, near Big Tree Mall.
Tragically, Cst Zenzile Ntuli, who was stationed at the Roodeplaat Academy, and CAC Vusi Skosana, stationed at Kwa-Mhlanga Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU), died at the scene.
Both members were dedicated athletes who proudly represented the organisation in marathon running. CAC Skosana represented the SAPS Mpumalanga team and completed the Jacaranda Marathon in a time of 5:10:25, while Cst Ntuli represented SAPS Head Office, finishing in 4:40:43.
Just a week earlier, on 17 October 2026, both athletes had participated in the SAPS National Marathon Championships held in the North West Province. Cst Ntuli distinguished herself at the championships, earning the award for First Master Female Athlete.
Their untimely passing is a devastating loss to the SAPS athletics fraternity. Beyond their commitment to policing, they were passionate athletes whose dedication, discipline and sporting achievements inspired their fellow members.
The SAPS #NationalMarathonAssociation extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends, colleagues and teammates of the deceased. We share in their grief during this difficult time and recognise the profound void left by the loss of these two valued members of our sporting community.

Y’all legislate everything, yet our Super Ministry has NO money (thanks to austerity measures) to deploy resources for oversight/compliance (we’ve shortage of Doctors but thousands are unemployed, thousands of police vacancies, yet millions of graduates are unemployed). MxM! 🚮
There is a worrying Misinformation going around about the below Bill. This Act was an Apartheid law that the Constitutional Court said it needs to be amended so that it complies with Democratic Principles. During my budget vote in 2026 I committed to review all the Apartheid laws and table them in parliament. An Omnibus bill firstly was tabled that related to 149 apartheid laws that are not compliant with the Constitution. 4 Bills were then released later together with this one and I did a Media briefing about it. The 3 others included the one related to illegal Mining, the other related to Legal Practice Council and the other related to Trusts matters. The below bill is before parliament and as Citizens you can also still make inputs if you missed the period of comments by the department. Our website has all the information in detail 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🙏🙏🙏
Alcohol advertising should be BANNED (not just its advertising restricted), but that won’t happen because like gambling advertising, it’s 1 of BIG revenue streams in SA media! (PS: I’m NOT suggesting it will reduce drunk & driving incidents, GBV alcohol or FASD related cases!)
The tweet is hovering between stupidity, Islamophobia (basically excitement of hate towards Islam religion practicing individuals) and ignorance (but definitely not lack of knowledge because Google is there). But it could also be a combination of all three from one individual!
I think you are missing the point.
Halaal attracts a premium and increases the price of food and this is a serious issue we need to raise as we are facing a cost of living crisis.
It’s strange to put a “tax” on food to make sure it complies only to a minority of the country.
Here is an example…
Beef products are generally more expensive than pork products but it’s not double the price but below we see 125g of Roast Beef is almost the same price at 250g of Pork because it is halaal.
Should the average South African be inconvenienced to drive around finding cheaper roast beef just to convenience minority ? Surely, they should have a speciality butchery
PERSONALLY: It’s disturbing, dehumanising & embarrassing that you’re repeatedly remind the WORLD with these tweets of the plight on unemployment, and how @MYANC, with @CyrilRamaphosa & now GNU with @Our_DA failed and continue to fail South Africa’s unemployed millions of people!

Applicants who have successfully submitted their applications are assured that their submissions remain valid and that no further action is required.
The SAPS appeals to prospective applicants to remain patient when accessing the portal: erecruitment.saps.gov.za

Seeing this tweet, I went to read Sunday Times article. The excuse shows how govt (local, provincial & national) is slow to act, how reactive they are & exposes their lack of foresight leadership. Complacency is despicable! It’s worse than I had imagined esp as they were warned!
Before watching it, I was a bit worried and skeptical, but decided to watch it first: interview with Justice Madlanga. Honestly, the interview is great, and correctly restrictively measured, it talk about his legal background until retirement. Well executed, @SizweMpofuWalsh!
So he can’t just campaign for ANC, irrespective of who gets appointed mayor later?
