Nothing happens in a vacuum. So much went on in Canada this week and so much between Canada and the U.S. But, watching the #HeritageClassic and seeing these beautiful images on the prairies, I’m just feeling very proud of my home and native land.

Martin St. Louis on fire at his Heritage Classic presser. “You want to find any success in life, be a 100 percenter,” he says. Emphasized how his players should be 100% present with their families right now—the people who have made great sacrifices for them to realize their dreams—and then be 100% there for the game tomorrow.

Birthday shoutout to Mike Eruzione, born October 25, 1954 in Winthrop, Mass. The captain of the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team, he scored the game winning goal against the Soviets in the Miracle on Ice. He played 4 years for Boston University as well. @MERUZIONE

Made by my brother- in-law in honor of my dad… 💔💔💔 With all the incredible tributes being shared about Ron, I figured l'd show my love the way I know best... by putting together a video that looks like it took way more time than it actually did. Going through these old photos and memories with Amber has been pretty special, and I wanted to share the Ron not everyone got to see. The world knew Ron Duguay as a hockey player, a fighter, a celebrity, and a guy who lived one hell of a life. To us, he was Dad, Grandpa, and my father-in-law for 19 years. Truth is, Ron and I weren't always that close. But these last two years changed that. More dinners, birthdays, holidays, football games with the grandkids, and countless bike rides around the Back Bay. I never turned down a ride with Ron, no matter what time of day. When he was diagnosed with stage four cancer two years ago, we knew how serious it was. Looking back, I believe God gave us those extra years for a reason. Time to connect deeper, mend relationships, and make memories. Ron wasn't just fighting cancer. He was fighting for one more day. One more dinner. One more birthday. One more holiday. One more game with his grandkids. And he gave us so many of them. We always wish for one more when we lose someone. But Ron spent two years fighting through unimaginable pain to give us those moments. We were already getting our "one mores" all along. These last couple of weeks, I watched @amberstavros, @mrs__shay and @13duguay show incredible strength and love for their dad. And @SarahPalinUSA , who never left his bedside. Seeing Ron surrounded by so much love in his final days was heartbreaking, but also beautiful seeing the amount of love surrounding him. One of my last moments with Ron was holding his hand, squeezing tight, and exchanging the words "I love you." I don't think we'd ever said those words before. I'll cherish that moment forever. To everyone who has reached out, prayed, shared stories, or checked in on Amber and our family, thank you. We love you and appreciate you more than you know. I believe Ron is finally at peace, free from pain, and in God's hands. Rest easy, Ron. Thank you for fighting so hard to give us those extra memories. Love you. #ronduguay #fxckcancer

Grampa Yogi retired as a player in 1964 after 18 seasons with the #Yankees. As he would say, "These records will stand until they're broken." But I suspect that might be never! #WorldSeries #RepBX 🙏⚾️❤️

The legendary Ranger, Rod Gilbert shared a lifelong friendship with Ron Duguay that began the moment Gilbert welcomed him to the Rangers as a rookie in 1977. Rod always defended his friend when some critized his work ethic. Rod countered that Duguay's charisma never detracted from his toughness. Gilbert respected Duguay as a tireless competitor who took the game seriously on the ice, regardless of what he was doing on the fashion runway or at Studio 54. (source: NY Post 8-23-21) #NYR

Lost a good friend today. We played hard against each other but we were always above board. Stuck up a super relationship at the Canada cup in 1981. Enjoyed many golf tournaments at the Dale Hawerchuk charity in Ontario. I will miss him and his great personality RIP Ron
