What a sad end for a really good theologian
NEW: The group behind Cornel West's 2024 ballot push was wholly funded through Elon Musk's dark money network, according to Sludge's review of tax documents. readsludge.com/2026/10/26/muâŚ
Punker than thou idiots who really just want to be cops are the second worst kind of punks.
I will say this. No one needs to cover âbig yellow taxi in 2026. Amy Grant did a great job in 1995 and then Janet Jackson flipped it in âgot till itâs goneâ in 97. Counting crows did it redundantly in 2002. Joniâs 2007 remake with weird midi sax should have been the final word.
Okay but Cory Doctorow is in there tooâŚ

"You told me something I won't forget. You said whether in one sphere of life or another, these are men who don't like to be told no."
At our people's town hall with @AINowInstitute
I feel like the film assumes a baseline understanding of these realities. Her inability to acknowledge this is part of what is fascinating! Itâs an investigation of self deceit among other things.
I donât think itâs particularly funny but this doesnât seem to be more than affectionate ribbing!
Honestly Iâd be nearly as afraid meeting Nathan Fielder as I would be meeting Isaac Chotiner.

Not letting my pets eat ANY food until Kelly Clarkson is allowed to buy a $15000 bird alarm clock! Whoâs with me?!? #DontFeedYourPetsChallenge
Art of Play, the store of the Kelly Clarkson saga, shares new statement:
âWe'd like to clarify one additional detail about Kelly Clarkson's visit to our Curiosity Shop on Saturday.
During the 5 minutes she spent in the store, she inquired about our mechanical bird puppet named Molly. We explained that while Molly is permanently attached to the wall and serves as a de facto mascot for our shop, a nearly identical automaton is owned by the creator of the machines, a brilliant artist named Bliss Kolb who lives in Seattle. He told us he would be willing to part with Molly's twin for $15,000. We explained all of this to Kelly Clarkson.
We also offered to show her a different singing bird automaton, made by a traditional clockmaking shop in Germany, that she could have taken home with her that day. It costs about $2,000. She did not stick around long enough to see it.
We've reached out to Kelly directly to try and clear the air. We really do wish her the best and hope that someday we can all laugh about this misunderstanding.â

kelly clarkson is doing her best with the tools available to her. both via retail therapy (which is legitimate, btw) and in venting online. remember, all of our experiences are relative and contextual. trauma doesn't read our bank balances.
What a cornball
Tom Morello (@tmorello) says he didn't vote for Kamala Harris in 2024.
"I saw how the corporate Democrat sausage is made. It is worse than you think. And there is a righteous fury at the corporate-controlled, money-controlled electoral system we have that is absolutely illegitimate. And people cannot choke down voting for a candidate, I understand it, cannot choke down voting for a candidate that's responsible for what happened in Gaza. And they just, they can't do it."

Nobody tell this guy about the Ramones

The Pope is making a claim about what art is, independent of who gets to make it. But my point is about access, and on that front, AI tools have genuinely lowered the barrier for people who never had the training, money, time, or physical ability to make images, music, or writing through traditional means. Someone with no formal art education, someone with a disability that makes traditional mediums hard to use, someone in a place with no art schools or materials, these tools let them give form to an idea they couldn't otherwise externalize. Dismissing that output as categorically not art, full stop, risks devaluing something that functions as real creative expression and real access for those people.
Really itâs just all about people
having social permission to be jerks and bullies and hiding behind politics or ideology to do it. NO JERKS has gotta be the rule.
The issue is not typically radlibs, or ideology or identity politics. Itâs just people being bullies and jerks. The left needs to stand up to jerks and bullies among our ranks.
