e-City off Hyderabad is built with ambitious goal to improve the country's electronics manufacturing capability. Industries can not thrive here unless Telangana state govt commits to provide basic infrastructure like roads within the industrial area. @OffDSB @TelanganaCMO 1/

The most expensive part of a hospital bill may never touch the hospital at all.
A patient admitted for care has no way of knowing whether the price on a medical consumable reflects its actual cost or a markup fixed long before it ever reached the ward. That gap in information is, at its core, a public health issue.
A survey of hospital consumables in Maharashtra found an IV infusion set with a trade price of ₹11.05 carrying a printed MRP of ₹325 ; a markup of 2,841%. A syringe procured at ₹6.75 carried an MRP of ₹57.20. A catheter procured at ₹29.41 carried an MRP of ₹310.
These are not elective purchases. Patients cannot compare prices, seek alternatives, or question a number printed on a box while receiving care and the MRP itself is often fixed upstream by manufacturers and distributors, disconnected from the trade price by a wide, unexplained margin. The result is a system where the party bearing the cost has the least information to evaluate it.
The regulatory gap is structural: scheduled medicines are capped under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Most medical devices and consumables are not leaving both the pricing and the information around it almost entirely unmonitored.
A review of these findings and clear guidelines on the permissible gap between trade procurement price and declared MRP have been recommended to the Department of Pharmaceuticals and the NPPA ; a step toward closing not just a pricing gap, but the information gap patients are left to bear alone.

Kudos to @ChennaiTraffic for acting on feedback. Wish @HYDTP also listens to feedback to understand problems and act on them.
A visible improvement at the TIDEL Park signal!
After my earlier video highlighting how right-turning vehicles blocked the lanes meant for straight-moving traffic, the traffic police installed barricades to separate the two movements.
I recorded the junction again today. The video clearly shows smoother traffic flow, with most vehicles now keeping the straight-moving lanes clear. The improvement among MTC buses was especially noticeable.
The traffic police officer on duty thanked me and said this intervention had helped reduce congestion. He was also pleasantly surprised to see most MTC buses following the designated lane.
Earlier, an MTC official contacted me to appreciate the video and said it had been used to help drivers understand the issue and advised them to follow the lane

I genuinely want to understand who is responsible here.
The department whose job is to give us decent and safe roads?
The authority that issues driving licences and ensures people driving these huge tankers are actually fit to drive them?
The authority that allows these tankers to run on our roads and is supposed to ensure that the vehicle, registration and number plate are all compliant?
This is around Varthur CDP Road. Just see the condition of the road and the way these tankers move around people on two-wheelers.
At the end of all this, it is the common man who suffers.
We pay income tax, GST, road tax, registration charges and so much more. Asking for a decent road and basic safety is surely not asking for too much.
Do we really need to wait for someone to lose their life before action is taken?
Who is accountable?

These videos are circulating across various groups and are not recorded or verified by me. I am sharing them only because, after seeing them, I felt there are some genuine questions around road safety, enforcement and accountability that need to be asked.

Ever heard traditional Gaelic Irish music sung by an a cappella group like this?
This is Ceann Dubh Dilis (My Sweet, Dark-Haired Love), arranged by Michael McGlynn and performed by Spokanki.
Awesome. But the question is are complaints addressed?
An Indian engineer in Bengaluru got tired of potholes destroying his car.
So he built an app with Codex that detects them, finds who is responsible, and files a complaint.
Here is how it works. He installed a dashcam with GPS and an accelerometer. The app records everything while he drives.
A vision model classifies every pothole by size. Small, medium, large.
But here is the clever part. Most Indian roads are under warranty.
The contractor who built them is legally responsible for fixing potholes for free.
His app searches through 2,900 government contracts, finds the exact tender number, identifies the officer responsible, attaches the photo and geolocation, and generates a ready-to-file complaint.
One drive to work. 12 potholes detected. 12 complaints ready.

One of the BEST by @data_adventurer
The depth of this video is so damn good; it explains the audio processing fundamentals, and you can extrapolate the challenges of in-cabin audio processing.
Highly recommend it!

I am working on ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) on the edge - one of the primary user interfaces inside the vehicle cabin.
While working on this problem, we need to adhere to strict latency budgets, thermal and power limits, offline/connectivity-degraded operation, multi-speaker cabin noise, and tyre humming noise - to name a few.
I started looking into the foundational aspects of ASR and speech processing, and, as with all the amazing things rooted in their foundations, I came across how the Fourier Transform is used in model training.
If you are wondering about Fourier transforms, @3blue1brown has this brilliant explanation of the concept in his video: "But what is the Fourier Transform? A visual introduction."

A must-see even if you don't work in this area. Fourier transforms were one of the subjects many of my friends from electronics dreaded in the past. Not anymore!
Can @ExicomPower / @ExicomEnergy ransack ecity roads and footpath like this? @CommissionrGHMC @sjaju1 @HYDTP @cyberabadpolice
