Starting to suspect that the experience of psychopathology is not equal to a linear combination of unit-weighted self-report Likert items
Who do I know who is interested in both psychotherapy research and reproducibility, and has some time to talk?
I haven’t personally figured out how to use mastodon yet, but there’s a new profile pic of me there, which I think is responsible for a major upsurge in people moving over there
Psychometrics/sexuality question.
An established measure asks if you feel nervous talking to "attractive people of the opposite sex." Obviously heteronormative. Can I just change this to "attractive people" and we all agree it's better, please?
I'm glad the PNAS paper exists, I think it only does good

resisting the urge to comment on an already too-long-and-contentious twitter thread even though I desperately want to is currently taking 100% of my willpower, I will accomplish nothing today
I love it when I see a study that basically says "people who are less certain about things are right more often" because, it's like, yes and no?
A while ago on Twitter I saw someone's list of statistical methods that are now seen as problematic despite their commonality (e.g., backwards stepwise regression, MANOVA) with specific citations for each.
