Blackpool North is the only station I know that looks more like a theme park.
Just let passengers stand on the platform and wait for their train like at any other train station. @alexhornbyrail @McWhirterAlex @AndyBTravels @seatsixtyone

“Over the summer months GTR cancelled 5.2 per cent of its services, the most of recent time.”
Barely six months after Govia Thameslink Railway was nationalised, becoming Greater Thameslink, and even Labour MPs are critical of the increase in delayed and cancelled services, now the worst performing operator.
Whoever could have seen this coming?
Great British Railways will end up costing the taxpayer billions for ever worsening services.
Andy Burnham is gaslighting you.
“More investment, fewer delays”
In the last month before it was nationalised, Thameslink services arrived on time 86% of the time with 2.2% of services cancelled.
In just four months since Labour nationalised it the service has declined month-on-month, with a 10% decrease in on-time services and the number of cancellations quadrupling.
Great British Railways is the emperor’s new clothes.

🚨NEW: All train services that were nationalised by the Labour government have seen their performance plummet

C2C, which serves my constituency, has consistently been one of the top-performing rail lines in Britain, topping customer satisfaction polls. That's why Labour chose it as one of the first to be nationalised - they thought it would make nationalisation look good.
Before nationalisation, 94% of trains were on time. Now it's 71.5%. I joined a cross-party group of local MPs this week to raise the alarm - but these were fears I set out before nationalisation.
Labour needs to demonstrate to my constituents why their approach is an improvement, not simply a recipe for decline.

A one-way ticket to the past. Nationalised rail services are poorer than when they were private.
This is what happens when Labour politicians try to run things.
🚨 NEW: Labour MPs have summoned c2c rail bosses to explain the worsening train delays following nationalisation
Since being nationalised, the proportion of trains arriving on time has plummeted from 94% to just 71.5%

Getting rather fed up of seeing dogma-led views on public or privatised railway being amazing or awful. Ownership is utterly irrelevant to a railway’s success. Structure, policy and funding are what matter. Take the politics out of the debate and focus on those. #railways

I’m the least surprised person in the world that this has happened.
⏱️Before nationalisation, 94% of c2c trains arrived on time. Now, it is just 71.5%.
Is anyone surprised? 🚆

Added up the ride costs for winter wonderland and with online advance pricing it would be £123.40 to ride everything listed lmao 🥲

🚨 Even @UKLabour MPs are now complaining about the rail services since their OWN Government forced high-performing operators into stete control - via @thetimes 🚨
🚆 @c2c_Rail punctuality has fallen from 94% to under 72% since Labour took control
📉 Labour promised better services, cheaper fares, and a falling subsidy from the taxpayer. But everything has got worse.
🥀 Passengers and taxpayers deserve better than being forced to bankroll Labour’s ideological obsession with state control of the rail network

John Lewis might as well take the decorations down and go home.
This isn’t just a Christmas advert. This is an M&S Christmas advert. 🎄
