4% reply rate from cold emails.
here's how we found the messaging that works.
we launched 21 different campaigns to find message-market fit for a client.
instead of sending the same email to everyone, we tested different combinations of:
industries: finance, healthcare, hospitality, travel, etc.
job titles: founders, vps, directors, heads
company sizes: 1-50, 51-500, 500+ employees
messaging: different pain points, offers, and email angles
each campaign targeted a specific audience with different messaging.
then we looked at the data.
some campaigns got less than 1% replies.
others got 2-4%.
we doubled down on campaigns getting positive replies and stopped the ones that weren't working.
the goal was to figure out who to target, what to say, and which offer gets people interested.
once you find that combination, scaling outbound becomes a lot easier.
that's how you find message-market fit with cold emails.

cold email isn't dead.
sending the same email to 10,000 random people and expecting replies is dead.
right people + right offer + right timing.
that's how cold email works.

unpopular opinion:
the best gtm engineer is a copywriter who knows automation.
you can learn clay in 7 days.
you can learn apollo in 2 days.
you can build workflows with ai in minutes.
but understanding why someone buys your product?
that takes years.
tools are easy to learn.
human psychology isn't.

if you’re sending cold emails to CXOs with employee size (1-10)
keep sending on Sat / Sun also
they do reply on weekends

there’s a trend im seeing
new cs grads / tech ppl opting for gtm roles
thinking it would be technical work
later to realise that it’s mostly copywriting and list building
actual tech work is done by claude lol

you move forward in life when you help others move forward.
make it a habit to help people without expecting anything in return.
one day, in ways you never imagined, it all comes back to you.

hey, i'm ankit 👋
i did masters from iit bombay, tried startups, failed, built countless apps, and made money on the internet.
here's the journey so far...
1/ i always wanted to build a startup since i was a kid.
even in college, i tried a couple of ideas.
after iitb, i started a venture with a batchmate. we ran it for a year, but it didn't work out.
so i tried again.
2/ my next startup was LinckUp.
we applied to Y Combinator and got shortlisted for interviews. we did 2 interviews with YC.
but we didn't get in.
my tech cofounder also left along the way.
it sucked, but it taught me a lot about building startups.
3/ then i discovered Bubble in 2022, a no-code app builder.
i realised i didn't have to wait for a technical cofounder to turn my ideas into products.
so i went on a building spree and built 10-12 apps in a year.
4/ one of those projects was DottyPost.
i built it entirely with no-code tools and started making meaningful revenue from it.
that was a big moment for me.
i realised you don't always need funding, a big team, or a fancy setup to build something people will pay for.
5/ but building a product was only half the game.
i kept meeting founders building great B2B SaaS products and agencies who struggled with one thing:
getting customers.
they could build and deliver.
but GTM was a different story.
6/ i started helping a few friends with their GTM.
one project led to another.
eventually, i turned it into LeadPlus, a full-fledged GTM outbound agency.

Easy Growth Hack for B2B SaaS:
Send 5,000 emails a day.
2 step sequence. 20 working days / mo
that's 50,000 prospects / month
Infra cost:
$500/mo mailboxes
$600 domains (once a year)
$175 email sending
$200-$500 in lead lists
even with 1% reply rate,
you're getting 50 responses every single day
with 20% +ve responses, you get 10 people interested in your offer. DAILY.
That's 200 interested prospects a month.
Now,
ALL you have to focus is on 2 things:
- your offer (email copy)
- lead list
Do this and change your life.

if you’re using Apollo or Zoominfo for list building,
you’re not gonna make it

Cold Emails in 2020:
> Write Copies with {{title}}, {{firstName}} and {{companyName}}, {{personalise_Line}} as variables
> Buy Apollo Plan
Hit Send.
this used to book meetings.
Cold Emails in 2026:
> Write copies with singnals
> Buy 5-6 email providers
> Use claude to score leads
> Aautomate entire ops
Nothing much changed except 2 things:
- the way you send offers
- the way you build lead lists
both are FUNDAMENTALS of cold emails.
