“We are going to have to wrap our minds around the idea that being a software developer and being a programmer have become divorced in 2026” @seldo bringing some legitimately hot takes in this talk! youtu.be/kspZP5BgkEU?is=g4DA…
As many have said this is a fantastic talk about what it means to be a great product engineer when the cost to build products has become so cheap. “Software is having its Ikea moment…value comes from eating your customers pain” 🔥 from @aarondfrancis
Your job is to eat the pain.
@aarondfrancis taught us all that pain doesn't disappear. Someone eats the pain. The questions is "Who will eat it? You or your customer?"
Or as Aaron put it, "Be the sin eater."
Gelato with @ErasmoHernandez to cap off an absolutely phenomenal @cityjsconf day trip around Greece 🇬🇷
AI evals for image generation as a service is a real opportunity. I’ve been saying this
Big shout to @arismarko for bringing me to 🇬🇷 for a great event!
.@DavidKPiano tying in state machines, evals, and system one AI models with jevspresso.dev/ at @cityjsconf hit all the points I wanted to hear. Got my brain swirling 💫
We are still so early. Nothing is settled yet in terms of how far AI is going to go and how we should or shouldn’t be using it. @maxedapps at @cityjsconf
Enjoying this panel with @TejasKumar_ and @FrancescoCiull4 duking it out over the relevance of JS on this @cityjsconf panel, but I think Evangelina had some hot takes about UI becoming more interactive and engaging and people not giving up their screens lightly.
Really enjoying this talk by @salihgueler right now at @cityjsconf about "multi-agent" architecture! Pretty deep on code/implementation, but still easy to understand.
In Athens for @cityjsconf and I have to say I’m pumped to be here (and to be speaking tomorrow!) Thank you Aris and the team 🙏
“I’ve lived a long time and I’ve eaten a whole lot” @Nigella_Lawson on bake off today. Same.
Super cool stuff they're doing. I visited!
200 AUAR micro factories. That’s all the UK needs to clear its entire yearly housing backlog. 🏗️
I just visited AUAR in London. They are building fully autonomous micro factories for houses. A robotic arm, a robotic saw, a robotic assembly table. All of it fits in a shipping container.
The bet: Ship the factory to the construction site. Build walls there.
For 100 years people tried to industrialize housing. Every attempt failed.
Transport costs kill the economics. The factory is too expensive, the product too heavy.
AUAR inverts it. Ship the factory, not the product.
Two containers build a village. Ten build a small town. 200 build everything the UK needs in a year. And now they are starting to scale production.
Mollie and Gilles are architects who spent a decade researching construction robotics before it was cool, they even wrote the book on it.
We visited them as they are finishing their latest micro factory for a home builder on the US East Coast. One micro factory. 40 homes. Next they will help to build new UK cities for a million people.
Disclaimer: we’re small investors, big fans..
Disclaimer 2: Yes, the housing crisis can be fixed by robots. 🦾🇪🇺

In two weeks I'm speaking at @jsmonthlylondon about Agentic UX for AI Image Generation guild.host/events/jsmonthly-… Shout to the homies at @ag_grid for hosting!
Is there a reason perf optimization work is so fun? Is my ADHD brain seeking lots of tiny dopamine hits with a quick feedback loop? Probably 😆
This is the beginning of software and software engineering. We are just getting started.
Saying software is dead because anyone can build it is like saying photography is dead now that everyone in the world has a camera in their pocket
Not only is it not dead it's the beginning of the Kodak Brownie moment for software, and we will see an absolute explosion of it
It will be the first generation for who building software will feel no different than using it. This is crazy!
The quality and bar of what we expect from our everyday apps will be raised dramatically, we'll have personal software, we'll have disposable software, and agents will be the foundation for most of it
Tech has always been chaotic and evolving, the people who have been able to adapt and move in front of new opportunities have always excelled, this is nothing new, I'm seeing it now and we'll see it 10 years from now
Find the opportunities in the chaose and disruption, there are countless of them
