Not all research starts in a lab. At Riv Plains, it starts with farmers identifying challenges, questions & gaps, backed by a team who understand science & the realities of running a farm.

Farm data shouldnโt live in silos.
Thatโs why, through the SCOUT for Riverine Plains program, we are partnering with @pairtree_dash to test how connected data can support better on-farm decisions.
In this video, Hamish Munro @appticon explains how integrating 100+ agtech platforms into one place helps reduce complexity and unlock clearer insights for growers and agronomists.

Farmers unappreciate the value of data collection now and for the future.
Our โIntegrated Pathwaysโ is unlocking value, by using Farm and livestock management app data for emission calculations, insurance validation, carbon and ESG supply chains.

Soil data โ๏ธWeather data โ๏ธBut what ties it all together?
Riverine Plains and @pairtree_dash are working to connect the dots through the Robust Weather Station project.
Hear from Hamish Munro @appticon on why integrating farm data is key to better decisions and stronger profitability.

Geelong Urea, $745 to $865/ mt = $120/ mt increase in <3wks
Agronomists and Grower groups now can connect any public and private weather station and soil probe supplier on the one page. To better manage frost, disease, spray conditions, input timing.

I seem to be doing a lot of this lately.
My weather stations connect to @Telstra 4G LTE-M CAT M1 network (which is not 4G voice/data network your phone uses).
Most work connect fine with the internal aerial, or they did. Since 3G shut off am having lots of sites failing to register reliably even though they are all 4G. So need to fit a high gain external antennae.
Also random stuff including SIM cards getting blocked, modems not disconnecting after they've sent their data, not specific to any tower, and I'm not the only telemetry provider noticing these things.
Pretty frustrating when my network is spread as wide as it is @IntirrTim @phil_honey @NationalFarmers
